Josh's POV

I was in my room scrolling through tiktok when I heard muffled screams coming from down the hall. I carefully walked down the hallway, listening for the source of the scream.

The sounds got louder as I stopped in front of Jaden and Bryce's shared room, so I put my ear against the door.

It sounded like they were arguing about something Bryce did, or maybe didn't do. The door swung open and Bryce stormed out.

I moved out of his way, stepping inside their room. Jaden sat on the bed, curled up in a ball with tears streaming down his face.

I sat down next to him, rubbing his back until he calmed down. As his breathing evened out, he threw his arms around me, burying his head in my chest.

"What's wrong Jae? What happened?" I asked, wiping away the remaining tears on his face. He smiled up at me, but I could see the pain in his eyes.

"Earlier today, Quinton and I were watching a scary movie. Both of us started crying and Bryce came over. I thought he was going to comfort me, but he hugged Quinton instead."

"I was so mad. Like, I'm his boyfriend and he didn't even hold me while I was crying." I was trying to listen to what Jaden was saying, but all I could think about how I would've done all those things.

I would hold him if he was crying.

"And then later on, when I brought it up to him, he started yelling at me telling me that I was jealous. We got into a big fight and then he just stormed out. Usually, after we fight, he says I love you or something, but he didn't."

I would say I love you after we fought.

I let all of his words sink in before asking an important question. "So, did y'all break up?"

"Yep, I guess so." Jae seemed so sad, but I couldn't help the smile that spread across my face. He looked up at me in confusion while I pulled him closer.

"Jaden, I've liked you for sooo long and you don't know how hard its been for me to support you and Bryce." He sat there, shocked for a second.

I was starting to get scared that he was mad at me for confessing, but before I could stand up to leave, a pair of lips met mine.

I immediately kissed back, savoring the moment I had been waiting for. I pulled him onto my lap as he wrapped his arms around my neck.

We pulled apart, staring into each others eyes. I pecked his lips one more time, laying down and pulling him next to me.

We cuddled in silence before I spoke up. "You wanna know something Jae?"

"What is it?"

"All of those things Bryce didn't do, I would."
