'I've been watching you all night. There's something in your eyes saying c'mon, c'mon and dance with me baby. Yeah, the music is so loud, I wanna be yours now, so c'mon, c'mon and dance with me baby.'

Charli x Avani (in this one, Charli's 21 and Avani's 23. Everyone else in 21 or older.)

Charli's POV

It was my 21rst birthday today and I was kinda scared about being able to drink.

All of my friends told me that the feeling of being drunk was indescribable, but I don't think that's a good thing.

I had put my foot down this morning, telling them that it was my birthday and I refused to drink. Yet, somehow, we were on our way to a bar right now.

Hopefully, I could ask for water while they weren't looking and tell them that it was vodka.

Addison pulled over to the sidewalk and let us out of the car. Dixie swung her arm around me, trying to make me more confident so they wouldn't think my ID was fake.

"You ready for your first drink ever?!" Madi asked.

"Doesn't look like I have much of a choice, so yeah."

"Good, let's go."

We entered the crowded club, the sound of loud music and the smell of sweat and alcohol hitting me instantly.

Chase walked ahead of us with his usual swagger, everyone else following behind.

I walked a bit slower, dreading the events I knew were to come.

We took a seat at the bar, each person ordering things I'd never heard of. When the bartender got to me, I had no idea what to say.

"Umm, what would you suggest for a first timer?" She smiled, giggling a bit.

"How about some Rosé?" I nodded and she went off to fix our orders.

We all talked about random things while we waited, and I showed off my new jewelry I got from my cousins.

"Alright here you guys go." The bartender passed us all our drinks and we thanked her.

Everyone's eyes quickly turned to me, waiting for me to take the first sip.

I lifted the glass to my lips, watching the liquid move slightly from how shaky my hands were.

"Come on Char, don't chicken out now!" Someone screamed, but I didn't look up from the mesmerizing drink.

I took one final look at my distorted reflection before taking a small sip of the Rosé. I let it sit on my tongue for a minute, then swallowed.

It was a mixture of bitterness and over sweetness that I couldn't explain. I definitely didn't hate, but it wasn't the best thing ever.

"It's actually not that bad." My friends all started saying I told you so, some sounding a bit tipsy.

As the night went on, I slowly sipped away at the drink I had ordered about 2 hours ago. I wasn't trying to get blackout drunk, so I paced myself.

Dixie and Addison, however, were already 4 drinks in each and were making out on the dance floor.

The bartender walked over to where I was sitting with Madi, Chase, Curtis, and Noah. She placed what looked like a margarita in front of me.

"Sorry, I didn't order this."

"Oh, I know. That girl over there told me to give it to you." I looked to where her finger was pointing and saw a girl with long brown hair and beautiful makeup.

"Thank you." I said to the bartender, staring back and forth between the drink and the mystery girl.

"Ooo, looks like someone likes you Charli! Go say hi." Curtis said, pushing me off the bar stool.

I grabbed the drink and made my way over to where she was sitting. I sat down in front of her, sitting the drink between us.

"Hi, my name's Avani. What's yours cutie?" I blushed, looking down.

"It's Charli." I mumbled.

"What was that?" She asked, placing her finger under my chin and lifting my face.

"My name is Charli." She smiled.

"Nice to meet you Charli."

Avani and I talked for such a long time. What was actually an hour felt like just 10 minutes.

"Can I ask you something?" I asked.

"Of course." She said, taking my hand in hers.

"Why'd you send me this drink?" She laughed, both of us looking at the untouched drink in front of us.

"Well, I could tell this was your first time drinking, so I figured you might like this." Avani said.

"Really? Was it that obvious?"

"Afraid so. Here, try it." She said, pushing the drink towards me.

I slowly lifted the cup up to my mouth, taking a nice long sip. It tasted amazing, like it wasn't even alcohol.

"So, what do you think?"

"It's really good."

"I knew you'd like it." Just as she said that, her phone lit up. It was a text from someone named 'Ant'.

"Ugh. My roommate and his boyfriend, Jaden, are locked out again. How does he keep forgetting his key?"

I laughed at how annoyed she sounded, squeezing her hand that was still interlocked with mine.

"Guess that means you have to leave."

"Nope. I'm staying 10 extra minutes just to make him suffer." I giggled, looking down at the half drunken margarita.

"Stop looking down like that, you have really pretty eyes." I blushed, looking back up to meet her creamy, brown eyes.

Suddenly, her face lit up as a new song began playing over the speakers.

She pulled me up and onto the dance floor.

"C'mon Char, let's dance!"

"But what about your roommate?!"

"He has a car!" She yelled back, letting loose to the radio pop song that was playing.

I moved with her, forgetting about everything and just focusing in on that moment.

At some point, my arms ended up around her neck, and hers around my waist.

A much slower song started playing and we got closer to each other. Our lips met and everything around me went silent.

It felt like sparks were flying as she deepened the kiss, bringing me in closer. Her tongue slid into my mouth without warning, and I let out a muffled moan.

As we pulled apart, I remembered her roommate was probably still waiting.

"Vani, your roommate!"

"Shit! I forgot about him, he's gonna kill me. Here, put you number in." She handed me her phone that was still blowing up with texts.

I put in my number and handed the phone back to her. She smiled, pecking my cheeks and then lips.

"Text ya later baby." And with that, she was gone.

I think I like drinking now.
