This struggle keeps me awake at night
Makes me lose faith in life
And I watch the light fade
Into a darker wave
I feel the water lapping at my feet
Threatening to pull me under
And I gasp and scream for help
Yet nobody hears my cries
And as I drown I watch you stare
Up at the stars we once held so dear
And I forget I let you drown
In an ocean of my regret
So I scream and call out
Before realizing this is my fate
As I bleed, staining the water red
You ask, "was it ever worth the risk"
And all I have as an answer
To this regretful tune
Is a shake of my head
Before I'm pulled under
And as I decend
Full of sorrow and guilt
I finally let you go
And all I wish, of you to be happy
