Storm

22 7 2

I hear the wind whistle
And I step outside
I see the rain fall
And I start to smile

The rain patters against the roof
The lighting flashing in the sky
Thunder booming, drowning out the music
But I only feel.

The rain, cool and heavy
The wind, rushing through my hair
The puddles that I splash
And I smile

This is the storm
I know I'm supposed to be inside
But the rain was there.
And as the wind howled

You called, reaching out
And I smile and dance
The storm is loud
Just like your laugh

The storm is cold
So you turn on the fire
And you laugh and smile
As I shiver, the rain has done it's work

I smile as the wind howls
And the trees shake
The storm is loud
The lighting rolls across the sky
The thunder booms

I smile. There's a storm
The branches rustle
The wind howls
The rain patters against the roof

All is good.
Even if there is a storm
And the thunder shakes the house,
The light goes out and we smile

The candles are flickering
The music drowns out the rain
And we dance, letting ourselves free
And the storm isn't so bad
And neither is the rain
