The three glanced at each other when they saw us together. I noticed how the curves on the edge of their lips formed as their attention transferred to Shin-san's new hair. The black long-haired guy pointed at it with a smirk.
"New hairstyle, Shini?" He questioned, snorting.
"Shut up, Takeomi," Shin-san warned, shaking his head as his wet hair dries out. "I won't be wearing my gel anymore."
"What's with the sudden change?" The bigger one asked, giving me glances.
"Someone told me I'd look cooler if I don't wear it," Shin-san said, winking at me that caused the three of them to turn to me in sync.
It was so awkward standing there as they stared at me with judgement in their eyes.
My shoulders suddenly jumped when the other guy magically appeared behind me. I gasped when he leaned his face close to mine, observing me in details. His sleepy eyes became sharper as he examined me. I noticed his one earring with three circles.
He faced Shin-san then pointed me.
"Who's this kid?" He asked, making me feel so little.
"Don't tell me she's your girlfriend, boss?" The big guy asked, making me look like an idiot.
"Ah, Shini. That's illegal." The long-haired guy laughed, making me feel more embarrassed.
I bit my lower lip, looking down.
Out of the blue, the silence strangely embraced the room. I counted five seconds before shifting my eyes back up at them. My mouth opened when I caught the three slightly bowing their heads down with their mouths shut.
I looked around and found Shin-san behind me who's staring at them with menacing eyes that even I was stunned at how unrecognizable he was just then. He looked powerful. That's what I thought.
He sighed and then looked at me with a smile. Shin-san placed his hands over my shoulders and slightly bent his knees to level his height with mine. He cupped my chin and genuinely smiled.
"Sorry about these guys, Delle. They're just like that, but they're good guys." Shin-san held both of my hands. "If it's okay with you... are you willing to accept this family?"
I looked at him with a big smile.
It was then that time that the three treated me as one of their own.
As I remembered... they even called me their treasure.
Shin-san made me a part of his family... and I couldn't ask for more.
"Stop it, Ya-chan!"
"No, Delle! These delinquents are pissing me off!"
My hands flew to my mouth as Ya-chan fell on the ground when one of the gang members intentionally pushed her. The happening started when we were walking back home together and caught this new gang bullying another guy.
