Niall
No contact from Harry since the night of the party, which was 2 weeks ago. At school he'd avoid me and if Louis and Abigail wanted to come say 'hello' Harry would politely excuse himself to go do 'stuff'. I didn't know why, I mean at the party everything was fine and then he just stops talking to me? It made no sense at all.
Even the other day in english I had gone to sit beside him but he placed his bag on the seat, keeping his eyes on the board in front of him. I didn't bother to annoy him or even attempt to talk to him after that because what was the point? He clearly had no interest in talking to me so why should I put effort into talking to him.
I walked into the cafeteria after collecting my own packed lunch from my locker because mums homemade ham and cheese sandwiches were much better then the school's mystery meat. I remember the first time I had it and I ran out of the cafeteria and spewed in the boys toilets. Everyone had made fun of me for the rest of the year because I was stupid enough to actually try it.
"Niall, nice of you to finally notice you're best friend" Laura mumbled as I sat down in the swat next to her.
The cafeteria smelt gross, like deep fried shit.
"Sorry" I replied, scratching the back of my neck.
"It's fine" She shrugged.
"Are you sure?" I asked quietly.
"Of course I'm sure! you dingbat" She smirked slightly at me, nudging her shoulder against mine. Her face suddenly dropped when Louis, Abigail and Zayn sat across from us.
Abigail smiled brightly, bouncing up and down in her seat slightly like an adorable little puppy, Louis sat smiling widely and Zayn sat quietly on the end mumbling a quick 'hello'.
"Do I know you?" Laura asked, raising an eyebrow.
Louis was the first to speak.
"The name's Louis Tomlinson, but I'm sure you already knew that" He winked and Laura started to fake gag.
"Well clearly not, thats why I asked, loser" Laura rolled her eyes.
Louis looked taken back as he took a bite of his sandwich avoiding eye contact with her.
"I'm Abigail, its lovely to finally meet you!" Abigail cheerily smiled at Laura, who turned to me with the most confused look on her face and all I did was shrug simply.
"Uh, ditto?" Abigail's face dropped slightly before she put her bright smile on again, shrugging off Laura's rudeness.
"Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed" Zayn mumbled quietly.
"Sorry?" Laura asked, eyebrow raised.
"Nothing" Zayn muttered in response and went back to his sketch pad.
"Whatever" Laura huffed, crossing her arms over her chest.
Laura was never really a people person, especially ones who were overly out going like Abigal and Louis. It took awhile for me to warm up to her and accept the fact that people would be turned off at the fact of being friends with us because of her attitude.
"There my friends too" I smiled softly at Laura, who in return just rolled her eyes once again.
---
"She's definitely something" Louis muttered as we both walked out of the school ground.
"Laura?" I asked.
"Yeah" He nodded.
"She's always been like that, never really a people person" I shrugged.
"She's cute though"
I watched closely as a small blush crept onto Louis cheeks.
"No way!" My eyes widened, my lips twitching upwards slightly.
"What?" He asked, confusion written all over his face.
"You have a thing for Laura!" I smiled widely.
"What! No! She's not my type. I don't like her. She was rude. I won't deny she's cute though, but, no I don't like her!" I chuckled quietly at Louis' little outburst.
"Dude, you're rambling!" I smirked and poked his cheek. "It's true love"
"Niall no." He glared at me.
"Laura and Louis sitting in the tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G"
"Niall, I swear to god if you don't shut your mouth-"
"First comes love-" I sang
"Niall" He groaned and I poked his cheek.
Giggling like the little school girl I am, I continued to poke Louis cheek as he swatted my hands away. We continued like this for a good five minutes before eventually Louis had pushed me up against the car, tickling my sides.
"Louis" I gasped for air, slight giggles escaping my lips.
"Yes Niall?" He chuckled quietly, tickling my sides.
"Stop" I looked at him with pleading eyes.
I felt his hands stop and rest on my waist.
"You're adorable" He chuckled quietly and pulled his hands away from me, right as the familiar curly haired boy who had been avoiding me like the plague made his way over to us.
"Oh hi Harry!" Louis beamed at the taller boy.
"hi" Harry mumbled "I thought we were meeting at my car by 3?"
"We were! I was just talking to Niall" Louis shrugged, slinging his arm over my shoulder.
"Yeah just talking" Harry scoffed.
"Pardon?" I frowned.
Why was he being so rude all of a sudden.
"Nothing, why don't you just mind your own god damn business" He glared at me.
"Harry!" Louis screeched "that was rude!"
"Don't worry Lou. Harry's just on his period, I'm sure he'll get better soon" I patted Louis back and walked past Harry, brushing my shoulder against his slightly.
I couldn't believe what had come over me.
That sudden burst of confidence made me feel..good.
