Emily was rushed in as the paramedics tried to get her pulse back. Edward was stopped by the nurses as they rushed Emily to surgery. Edward sat down as he waited. Kevin came rushing down and stopped as he saw Edward. "What happened?" He asked Edward.

Edward looked up at Kevin and sighed. He started telling the story of what happened. Every word he spoke, he broke. Kevin heard the sadness in Edward's voice and knew this boy actually loves his daughter. The door opened revealing Carlisle. "How is she?" Edward asked. Carlisle looked at his son who shook his head and walked away.

"What?" Kevin said as he was close to tears.

"We need to talk."

Edward saw Alice and Esme. Esme hugged him as Carlisle explained everything. "We're vampires." Kevin was shocked, but nodded. "Emily is also my son's mate and I don't want him to suffer her loss."

"Turn her." Kevin said as soon as Edward walked in. "I don't want my daughter gone and if this is the only way to do that, than turn her."

Carlisle looked at Edward. "It's your choice, son."

Kevin looked at Edward as Edward thought about. Alice smiled as she knew the answer and knew that Edward couldn't go on without his mate. "Please." Was all he could say.

Carlisle nodded. "Would you all follow me."

Edward followed as his mind went back to Emily. His beautiful, sweet, loving mate. The girl who is dying all because of the accident. He didn't hate Tyler for what was about to happen, but he knew that he had to help Emily. Edward walked in to see only Emily in a room to herself with nothing but wires and tubes. It was as if Emily was in a coma. "She can still be known, but no one can't know she's one of us."

"I won't say a word." Kevin tells them. "As long as my daughter is alive, that's all that matters."

Edward walked over and looked at Carlisle and Kevin. The two nodded for Edward to turn her. Edward leaned down and whispered so low that none of the Cullens heard. "I love you, Emily Hale and I will explain everything once you wake up." He tells her. Edward closed his eyes and inhale before biting her neck.

Her screams caused Kevin to cover her mouth so no one could hear. "I am so sorry baby." Kevin said as he watched Edward finished giving the venom to her.

Edward pulled away and kissed her head. He placed his head on Emily's chest as he started dry sobbing. The one thing he didn't want Emily to go through is happening. Esme and Alice hugged Edward. His pain was affecting everyone. "She'll be awake soon. Let's get her home and Kevin, you tell them some excuse."

"Actually, she hates hospitals so this won't be hard to convince them." Kevin said as he walked out to release his daughter.

"Let's get her home." Edward said as he gathered her belongings. He looked at Emily and knew he won't be at school till she wakes up. Emily is important right now and that's how it will always be.
