The Beginning After the End

Background:
It was two weeks later and they were finally getting truly settled in, all the furniture had arrived in about a week and a half so they had spent a few days putting it together

Tams POV:
I was helping Irene put together our new and improved couch when I got a call, I saw it was from my manager so I said "sorry to leave you hanging babe but I got to take this" her being completely understanding said "it's cool I can handle this" then I kissed her and walked into our room to pick up the phone, once I pressed the answer button I said "ya, what's up... I'm kinda in the middle of something right now Kevin" then he said in a kind of panicked tone "TAM GUESS WHAT???? ...... YOU'RE GOING ON TOUR!!!!" then confused and a little worried I screamed "WHAT?!?!" At the top of my lungs, Irene heard me and said "you ok Guapa?" I turned the phone off my mouth for a second and responded to her with an unsure "I'm fine love" ( which I knew she would analyze and pick apart later) than she said "vale, vale, vale" and went to screw something else in. Redirecting my attention back to Kevin I covered the phone's microphone a bit by cupping my hand then in a half whispered half steaming voice said "ARE YOU CRAZY? ARE YOU ACTUALLY OUT OF YOUR MIND?I CAN'T LEAVE RIGHT NOW!!!" Unfortunately, his response to that was less than desired and he said "I'm sorry, I know you have a thing with Irene going right now, and you don't want to screw that up... but, this one is mandatory Tam, or you loose your record deal, it will be for a month in America. I'll let you get back to whatever you were doing and we will talk on Lunes, Vale?" I just said "FINE" in an angry dry tone, then I hung up.
I then went to the other room to discover that Irene had already put together the entire couch, problem is that she did it upside down so I had to help her lift the couch. She said "babe I'm done but can you help me flip this over please" I said "of course" and after outing my phone in my pocket, I grabbed the other end and with her we ended up rotating the couch 90° to get it to stand on all of its legs, we both let out a heavy sigh and sat on it. We were still for a few minutes just side hugging and enjoying each other's company, her head was on my shoulder and I switched back and forth from laying my head on hers, and giving it light little kisses.
After some more cuddles I decided to break the news, as to not keep it from her any longer. I got prepared and drew a deep breath in then let it out again in the form of a heavy sigh, Irene immediately recognized my distress and lifted her head from my shoulder looking me in the eye intently and saying "what's the matter Tam?" , I then parted my eyes from hers to stare at our scratched oak hardwood, I did this for a few moments, then with my head still down I said in a shaky voice "lo siento babe but....I have to leave" then Irene said "What do you mean Tam your scaring me..." than she shed a tear and followed that with "Tamara Luz Ronchese, you are not breaking up with me right now........ are you???!!" Then hearing those words my eyes jarred back up to meet hers, then I took her hand and kissed it several times and said "no no no guapa nothing like that" letting out a little laugh "the thing is, I have to go on tour again... and this time it's mandatory." ... "I'll be gone for a month in the U.S" , her tears began to dry and she said "Bueno, I will definitely miss you but it's not nearly as bad as I thought it would be" then she kissed me softly and sweetly ( as if she were saying sorry for reacting the way she reacted) she followed that by saying "plus... that just means we will have to live our days to the fullest until you leave" then her expression changed and I could see she was thinking about my departure, then in a quieted voice she said "when is that..by the way?". I said "I don't know, I told Kevin I would discuss it more with him on Monday, he just told me about it now........that's the call I had to take" then she said "oh" and put her head down, then I lifted it back up, cupped her face in my hands and gave her a long slow kiss, then when that was over I slowly traveled all around her face giving her kisses on the cheeks, nose, ears, and stoping in the middle of her forehead. I kissed her there for the longest then separated my lips from her head and put our two foreheads together, then I said "I love you and I always will... that's a forehead promise" then I felt the corners of her mouth lift while I was still holding her face and we lifted our heads up to see the other one smiling back like two fools in love, we exchanged small butterfly and nose kisses. We stood up from the couch then hugged tightly as if neither one of us wanted to let go. We stayed embraced for at least 5 straight minutes then went off to bed. Irene decided to take a shower to wash all the sweat of building furniture off and I joined her, in the shower we didn't talk, but only hugged and gave light kisses in between washing each other with the warm water. After that we both threw on some shorts and a baggy T-Shirt and got into bed.
