Alyssas POV: I went to the bathroom and then i felt a strong gust of wind, i didnt mind it but then i heard glass breaking and hayley screaming so i finished up and ran downstairs, THE DOOR WAS RIPPED OFF AND DUST WAS BLOWING INTO THE HOUSE, I FRANTICALLY GRABBED HAYLEY AND A COUPLE THINGS AND I TOLD JULES ABOUT IT, WE GOT ALL OUT VALUABLES AND RAN TO THE BASEMENT, Jules ran out onto the patio for her purse but was sucked into the tornado! hayley ran after her but i grabbed her and yanked her back to the basement and slammed the door, we had tomato soup, our phones, our purses, waters, books, board games, phone chargers, flashlights, buckets, clothes, money and spray
1 day after the tornado ( Alyssas diary ): Its been one day since the tornado, no one has come to check on us but from what we hear on our phones, 654 people were injured and 219 were killed, i opened a file about missing people and Julianna was one of them and we knew for a fact she was injured but prayed she wasnt dead, why did everything happen to her? i texted jordan and nia but they didnt respond, i figured they were together but everyone was advised not to leave the basement for a little while because less lethal tornados might strike as well so we stayed for 4 days, we used buckets to use the restroom and we hsd piper, gigi and winnie and eachother for emotional support, i ate half a can of tomato soup and saved the rest for day 2, hayley ate half and did the same, we played a board game and saved the other one for day 3
NIAS POV: I was huddled up against jordan and crying, i didnt know what was going on but all i knew was that everything around me was crumbling, jordan wasnt scared somehow so i held onto him, we forgot alot of material stuff besides our phones but we didnt have our chargers so we didnt use them, at the end of the day of the tornado it was pitch black so we set up 6 flash lights, two in the back of the room, two in the front and two beside us, we huddled under the blanket and i was crying so jordan wrapped his arms around me and we fell asleep
Alyssas Diary POV:
Day 2 after the tornado, i woke up and immediately drank water, i checked on hayley and put my hand on the flashlight and OH MY GOSH I BURNED MYSELF, the flashlight was over 300°F so i figured i had 2 eggs in a carton i grabbed and two salt packet, i put the eggs on a tissue and put the tissue on the flashlight, after 27 minutes the eggs were finally done so i seasoned them and gave them to hayley with a small bottle of water and leftover tomato soup " eat up sleep head " i said as she sat up and smiled " y'know lyssa, you can make the worst situation ever have a glimmer of hope at being a decent situation, its like nothing can bring you down " i smiled and hugged her and cooked the same for me, we finished eating and when the dogs woke up we gave the there food and i got a text back from nia saying " ima call you, just gimme a sec boo " i replied back " alr " and i checked upstairs for a second, It was destroyed so i couldn't help but think about what happened to the other parts of the house but just then hayley called me down and my phone was ringing, i answered
Facetime call:
Nia: lyssa!
Alyssa: what? what?
Nia: Im at 19%, How are yall?!
Alyssa: good, we just ate, it wasnt much it was just all i could scramble together
Nia: i feel you li-li, all we got over here is some bread, ham, 2 peaches and a ripe banana. we got one foam plate though
Alyssa: all we got is some oil, ham, cheese, a pack of noodles, 4 water bottles, tomato soup, onions, butter and 1 day old imitation crab meat
Nia: Thats good for yall, yall got enough to last yall a week, we aint gon last 5 days
Alyssa: girl you a fighter and jordan just tough af so i know yall prolly gon make it longer than us
Nia: Laughs Alright girl ima go call my mom before this phone dies on me
Alyssa: Okay bye boo
Nia: Byee!

Alyssa: Hayley, my phones at 21% can i use the outlet?
Hayley: yea i was gonna take a nap real quick before i take my bath

Hayley goes to the corner and tapes a towel so that she has privacy and washes with the water out of the washer and laundry soap, she changes into this ( its two sizes bigger than her size so she just puts this, undergarments and socks on
