Helloooo! I noticed a person in the last chapter commented that I should have put some kind of warning before I mention anything like rape or similar but I have the mature rating on so this is like a 'read on your own risk' story. When the mature rating is on you guys are warned about 'bad' language such as fuck and other words, sexual scenes (I don't have any... yet) and other stuff. So if you don't like it you don't have to read it, I just wanted to make it clear that the mature rating is on and that you guys know what you're getting yourselves into.

Emery's POV

After my very embarrassing fall with Jake life has been pretty much normal but I am starting to feel something every time I see him. Do I know what it is? No. Is it love? Absolutely not. Do I act on it? Noooo.

The rest of the weekend was pretty casual, I was basically home all day watching tv with Auden. Dad took mom out on the Sunday for a date, so it was just me and him home. It's pretty cute though that dad still does things like this for mom, she obviously loves it. Dad takes us all out too sometimes but I think they enjoy it more when it's just the two of them. Mom says that it brings back memories from before, when they were my age. I'm pretty curious about how they were back then. Would be fun to see.

"I HATE this food. Like for real. What is this?" Ally says and points to her food using her fork. "It looks like cat food. And that's a nice compliment." HAHAHA! Omg.

"Just be happy that you get it for free. Not a lot of schools have that." I say and start eating.

"It's just that-" She gets interrupted by my buzzing phone. Then it stops. A message.

Jake: I saw you in school today.

Me: Yeah, well we go to the same school so it's kind of obvious that you're going to see me and that I'm going to see you.

Jake: Did you just say that you're looking at me in school? ;)

Me: What? No. I said that we go to the same school so it's obvious that we're going to see each other.

Jake: Okay okay. Try to blame it on that. I know that you think I'm hot shortie.

Me: First of all, stop calling me that! Second, I don't think you're hot.

Jake: Okay then. First of all, you are short and cute therefore a "shortie". And second, HA! Everybody thinks that I'm hot.

Me: Well think again.

Jake: Don't have to. I don't really want to use my brain so much after school. I want to spend that time doing something else. ;) ;)

Me: You really disgust me sometimes.

Jake: ;)

"Ooo... Somebody's got a boyfriend!" Ally starts singing.

"Shh! Stop that and no. We're friends. Nothing more than that." I say back to her and focus on my food hoping that she'll buy it. Hoping that I'll buy it too. We are just friends, right? Yes. Yes! Emery stop. It's obvious, you and Jake are friends and nothing more than that. Besides, he's too much for me and he's slept with like half the school anyway so.

"Yeah right. He texts you Em."

"Ooo! And when he calls me we're going to be married!" I say sarcastically.

"Ha ha. But for real. You two basically talk the entire class and he texts you after class too. That's gotta mean something." She says and gets back to her food. I shouldn't let her get into my head with this.

"We should finish up, next class starts soon." I say.

"I know... Math..."

We finish our lunch and go back to our locker to get our books. It surprises me every time how heavy this book is, and the funny part is that I'm going to use like half of this later in life. If even. We enter the classroom and it's already full, Ally and I take our seats and about five minutes later the teacher walks in and says today's plan as everybody gets their books and pencils ready.

Jake: What are you doing?

Me: Math.

Jake: Interesting.

Me: What?

Jake: You're doing something weird with your face.

Me: Excuse me?

Jake: What's that expression?

Me: STOP LOOKING AT ME. We have math now. Let me study.

Jake: If you really wanted to study you would've stopped responding to my texts a long time ago.

Me: Fine. Bye.

Jake: Bye.

Me: Bye.

Jake: Stop texting me. 'We have math now. Let me study'.

Me: GOD YOU'RE IMPOSSIBLE.

Jake: ;)

How can one person make you so irritated and make you feel so... weird at the same time? How does he do it?

"Somebody's got a boyfriend." Ally's singing quietly.

"Shh!"

"Emery. Is there something you would like to say?" Mrs. Williams asks me in front of the entire class.

"Ehh... N-no. I just... ehh- helped Ally with a math problem." I say back, looking down.

"Okay then. Lower your voice while helping her next time."

"Yes, Mrs. Williams."

Well that wasn't embarrassing at all... At least class is almost over. In an hour... But little did I know that that hour flew by and before I knew it I was walking out of the classroom when someone suddenly grabbed my arm and pulled me aside.

"I hope I didn't distract you." Someone says. I turn around and of course it's Jake.

"No you didn't and please let my arm go." I say as he lets go.

"But seriously. How's your knee? Did you clean it as I said you should do when you got home? Because if you didn't that could get infected or something." He says looking down at my knee.

"Yes I did but it still hurts. I didn't think that it should hurt this much after. I mean I just scratched it."

"You should go to the school nurse. Maybe she has to look at it. I'll follow you if you want."

"No it's okay, I'll just ask All-" As I turn around to point at her she's gone. Where would she- Oh. Oh no she didn't. She did not leave me here alone with him on purpose.

"With who now?" He asks and smirks.

"Fine. You can follow." I say and start walking.

"Great. And I can tell you that I watched the tv-show 'Peaky Blinders' as you recommended."

"Aaaand?"

"It was... not bad."
