Chapter 32 Daycare Job

Y/n POV:
I read my book sat on the bench in middle of the park hearing kids play around. I look up from my book see kids are having fun, it reminds me long time ago since I went with my family when I was a kid. "Y/n!!!" Before I turn my head I was pin on the ground. I open my eyes see familiar straw hat. "Hey!!!" "Hello Luffy." I smile. He help me dusting the dirt away from me "What you doing here?" I ask "I was with my brother to buy some new clothes than I saw you sitting here so I decided to greet you." He answered.

"LUFFY!!!" I look over Luffy shoulder see Ace and Sabo coming this way. "Luffy don't run off like that!" They notice me "Y/n! Great to see you again!" They smile. "Come on Luffy, we gotta meet pop at his workplace." Ace said. "You guys had job?" I titled my head. "Yeah except Luffy, do you had a job?" He ask. I shook my head "I found a better one!" Sabo pull out from his pocket see folded paper than handed it to me, I unfolded it.

'Come get a job at daycare where young children come here having a play time together.

"I found this posted on the wall and it already came out today." Sabo explain. I fold it place it inside my pocket "Sounds great to me, I'll do it." I smile. The brothers walk away than I heading home. Finally I made it home, I open the door head inside close the door behind me. I place my backpack on the table fishing in than pull out my phone. I dialed the number looking at the poster, I wait for the phone to answer.

"Hello! This is daycare place, can I help you?"

"Yes hi, I had a help wanted poster and I would like a job that I'm looking for."

"Ah yes! We're looking forward to find a new person! You'll come every weekend."

"Sound great! See you tomorrow."

I hung up the phone started dancing "I got a job! Yes!" I calm myself. I check on the calendar from the wall see today is Friday. 'Tomorrow is going to be great.' I thought happily.

-Next Day-

Third POV:
Y/n woke up starting her morning routine, after her routine she head outside holding the poster on her hand looking around to find this daycare place. After like a minute, she found the daycare place, the daycare looks small. "This is it." She walk towards the door knock it two times. The door slide open see a green hair woman "Hi! You must be the new employee you call! I'm Makino." She smile cheerily. " I'm Y/n L/n, I'm looking forward to get a job." She smile back.

Makino let her in "Alright children! Meet your new daycare person. Y/n! She'll take good care of you." The kids say 'Hi' to her and begin to introduce theirselves. "I'm Ouga!" The orange hair boy grin "I...I'm Ren" the purple hair shy boy mumbled. "I'm Daito." The messy black hair said "And I'm Kai." The brown hair boy smile. "I had a family meeting today so is it okay you keep an eye on them?" Makino said. "Don't worry, just leave it to me." Y/n smile. Makino took off the apron hand it to her grab her purse "Thank you! I'll bring you a gift after your shift once I return!" She exit out.

Y/n put on the apron "Alright kids! What you all wanna do today?" She smile. "The park!" They said in same time "Alright! Remember this rules: stick together, don't go alone, hold hands til we walk on the street, and last don't talk to strangers." The kids nod. They exit out heading off.

-Later in the park-

"Alright kids, go have fun and don't get lost." The kids scramble off while Y/n sat on the bench. "Sure is nice having a-" "Y/n?" She turn her head around see Mihawk and by him was Smoker. "Mr.Mihawk, Officer Smoker. What you guys doing here?" She ask. "We decided to hang out together in peaceful day. Seems you taking care the kids, is that part of your job?" Mihawk said. "Yep! Sabo show me the help wanted poster since yesterday so I decided get a job." Y/n smile

The mans sit down with her watching the kids having fun. "Ms.L/n!" Ouga ran up to her "Yes?" Ouga climb up on her than sat on her lap. "I got a question if that's okays." "Of course, What is it?" Ouga took a deep breath and spoke "Who are these two mans with you? Is one of them are your husband?" Mihawk and Smoker choked their saliva. Y/n cheeks turning red "What! N-no! They're m-my friends! I'm too young for them, I'm 17 and I go to school." Y/n stutter. "Why you ask me that?" "Don't know, just asking." Ouga climb down ran off heading to the sand pit.

The mans look at Y/n see her placing her hands on her cheeks still blushing "So embarrassing" she mumbled. "Ms....L/n" the shy boy Ren walk towards her. She pick him up place him on her lap "Yes?" "I...g-got you...a gift..." Ren handed her a daisy "Aaaaw~ how sweet of you." She grab the daisy "Let me." Mihawk took the daisy from her hand move stranded hair behind her ear place it behind her ear. "T...Thanks Mr.Mihawk." Y/n blush.

-Time Skip after playing-

"Okay kids time to go!" Y/n called out. The kids ran towards her "It was nice hanging out with you Smoker and Mihawk. See you next week." She walk away with the kids.

They all made it back in daycare place and it's time for lunch, they pull out their bento from their backpack started eating their lunch. Y/n pull out her bento from her backpack started eating. After eating, the kids continue playing around each other. Y/n lean on the wall looking at them happily, she turn her head see Kai reading book with Ren. She look over see Ouga and Daito playing arts and crafts. She sat down on the floor pull out her book reading. Suddenly she hear someone call her name. She look up from her book see them looking tired.

"Can you sing us a lullaby." They yawn, Y/n place her book down set up the blankets on the floor. The kids crawl on the blankets laying down "Alright children, I'll sing." She clear her throat than begin singing.

"Lets go in the garden. You'll find something waiting. Right there where you left lying upside down.

When you finally find it, you'll see how it's faded. The underside is lighter when you turn around

Everything Stay. Right where you left it. Everything Stay. But it still changes.

The kids fallen asleep peacefully, Y/n smile at them tucking them in. She look at the clock from the wall see her shift is almost over. She lay down by them feeling her slumber kicking in.

Y/n POV:
I felt my body shaking and hear someone calling my name "Ms. L/n~" look over from my shoulder see Makino smile at me. "Welcome back." I smile. I stood up took off the the apron hanging it on the hanger. "I brought treats for doing a great job taking care of them." She show me pink box opening it and I was surprise. It's cupcakes. She handed it to me.

"Thanks, I did my very best taking good care of them." I said "Good to hear, their parents are coming back in few minutes, you can go home now and get some rest." Makino smile. I grab my backpack walk out heading home.

I made it home open the door went inside close the door behind me. I place the cupcake box on the kitchen table than place my backpack on the couch. I sat down on the chair open the box take one out took a bite out of it feeling the taste of sweetness inside my mouth. I finish just one close the box place it inside the fridge.

I head to my room grab my pajamas head to the bathroom taking a shower. After showering I dry my hair, brush my teeth and change into my pajamas. I head to my room jump on my bed turn off the lamp 'Tomorrow.... another day in my job.' I pass out in my slumber.
