Ch.4 [George's and Deals]

George's bakery.
A classic amongst the cast. I am pretty sure by now Dan and I have been here at least a hundred times. It is honestly one of my favorite places to get any baked good you could possibly think of and just my favorite place entirely. Especially because of how important this place was to mine and Dan's friendship.

"Heard you got yourself a boyfriend?" Dan kinda asked kinda teased.

"Oh my gosh...You know those are rumors. I hardly know Tom, I can't believe that all it took was hanging out once and they all think we are dating." I ranted.

"I mean you guys do look good together, but you can tell it's more platonic. They are getting wild out there!"

"Honestly I would've thought that if they were shipping me with anyone... it would be you." I said hoping for the reaction I wanted from him.

"I think they get that we have more of a brother-sister thing going on you know."

Ouch...I don't know what I thought I would find out from this but it definitely wasn't that. He was always the first boy I loved and I always wished he would love me back. I guess he never will though... not how I want at least. "Y-yeah totally...that's probably it." I said realizing I had been a little too quiet for too long while I was pondering.

"Yeah y/n we got the best kind of bonds...the ones that never have any issues because romantic feelings at all!" Dan said

Wow. Friend-zoned twice in ten minutes. That legitimately has to be a record. I know I've never told him how I really feel but geez, thats a lot.

After the secret embarrassment that was the whole situation, we talked another hour about random things getting back in the grove of things. It was so nice that I almost forgot what he said... almost.

After leaving George's, I walked to a park that was in between my house and the bakery. It was the park my grandma would always take me to when I was little. If I was ever sad, she would pick me up and take me here. It would make all my worries disappear it still does even though she isn't here with me anymore, just thinking about the memories helps. I still miss her though.

I just sat on a bench in the park and stared at the tree lines and the jungle gym for awhile, people watching all the park goers that I saw... wondering what brought them here today.

After about a half an hour I saw a familiar face across the park and saw an opportunity. I waved over the friendly face to come sit with me.

Tom walked over to my bench and sat down. "Hey y/n! You like this park too?"

"Actually I live right by here. I used to come all the time with my grandma."

"That's sweet." Tom said half-heartedly, almost distracted.

Trying to get an emotional bond going I asked "Anything you want to talk about? You seem kind of sad?"

"Uh... my girlfriend just broke up with me."

"Oh my gosh I'm so sorry. Here I am feeling sorry for myself over getting friend-zoned. Wow... do you want to talk about it?" I asked feeling extremely pathetic.

"No not really...who friend-zoned you though?"

"No way... I'm not telling you!" I giggled.

"What's a guy gotta do for a good distraction around here geez!" Tom said teasingly.

As much as I didn't want to tell him so I could save myself the embarrassment, maybe I would feel better if I talked about it. No body knows that I like him... not even Emma. "Promise not to tell?" I questioned.

"Pinky promise!" He said holding out his pinky finger.

"What are we in year 4!" I laughed again.

"Fine, fine. I regular promise!" He said putting his hand back down.

"Oh no, we are pinky promising now! Give me your pinky!"

The two of you intertwined your pinky and the 'unbreakable' promise was made.

"I like Dan but I've never told him about it and he's constantly friend-zoning me." I said quickly.

Tom nodded acknowledging what you just said. "Jade... uhh cheated on me." He said monotoned.

"Damn...wow I'm sorry." I said, here I am complaining about not even having a relationship and he's just been betrayed.

"You know my manager called me at 7 a.m. flipping out about the paparazzi photos from the other day. He was quite upset when I told him it wasn't true." He joked.

"You know...we could just fake it. It would kinda work in both of our favors!" I said almost laughing it out.

Apparently my sarcasm was still unclear to tom though. "Holy shit. Wait... that could actually work! If we do it right, we get everything we want."

"Yeah..." I say, to be honest I had zoned out thinking about what dan said and didn't entirely process what he just said. Once I snapped out of it though I exclaimed "Wait! No, I was kidding!"

"No! It's brilliant y/n!" Tom said.

"What do you mean? How would that even work?"

"Think about it, the producers told us they wanted us to get closer for filming because our characters are going to get together. For one, that will make for one hell of a promotion for the movie. Both of our managers already told us how great it would look for both of us if we did. Not even to mention, Dan would probably get so jealous and so would Jade." Tom explained.

"What if it doesn't do what we want it to though?"

"Y/n it has to! Our names are already trending everywhere shipping us. And I can tell by the way Dan looks at you that it will do what we want it to. The seeds have already been planted."

"Fine...We need an end date though right? We can't just keep it up forever?"

"Yeah your right... looks like your the brains of this operation." Tom laughed.

"Well...What about The Order of the Phoenix Premiere? That gives us 2 months to pull this off!" I suggested.

"That's perfect! If it works we break it off before the premiere and go with who we actually want to. If it doesn't we stay together through the premiere and 'break up' the weekend after?" Tom said.

"Wait...I think this might just work!"

"You think?" He asked.

"Yeah... You have a deal!"

"Great! A HAND FOR MY BEAUTIFUL fake GIRLFRIEND!" He yelled everything but fake while winking at me. People were looking at him like he's crazy, heck he probably is.

"Shhhh. No one can find out we are faking! That could ruin the whole thing, especially our careers! We have to really pretend like we are dating." I apprehended.

"Come on. I'm an act-tor" Tom said while over pronouncing actor, making me laugh. While he put his arm around me.

"Let's do this!" I smiled at him.

Another update I preplanned this one sorta cuz i got a good idea earlier so i hope everyone likes it. Also remember that im changing the actual dates of things for this lol
