Ch. 10 [Arguments and hurt]

"Next on the red Carpet is Tom Felton and Y/n L/n from the cast of the upcoming film Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix!"

Tom quickly grabbed my hand, I was slightly flustered. I was no stranger to the red carpet, but it can still be pretty intimidating. Tom saw that and immediately tried to compensate by comforting me.

We walked up to the first spot on the carpet and the camera men began clicking and questioning.

"Are you dating?"

"Explain your chemistry!"

"What happened to you and Jade Tom?"

"Who are you wearing Y/n?"

"How do you feel about being a celeb y/n?"
Yeah I know
Tom and I just decided to start posing for pictures instead of replying immediately. He held his arm around waist while my arm was draped around his neck, both of us smiling our best smiles.

Suddenly the cameras were off us when another limousine pulled up revealing itself to be holding no one other than Daniel Radcliffe with some model on his arm, it shouldn't have hurt my feelings but it did. I looked over at Tom and he looked worried. I wasn't sure what but I could tell he hadn't told me something about tonight.

Tom gently brushed hair away from my face and whispered "Can you do me a favor?"

"What do you need?" I said through my teeth smiling at the few cameras still focused on us.

"I just need you to trust me." He whispered to me again, and then suddenly yelled "HEY CAMERAS OVER HERE" and put his hand to my cheek and kissed me gently. For a moment it felt like it was just us, no one else in the world but us.

Then Tom pulled away and turned to the cameras, "Yes, we did just confirm our relationship." Then winked at them.

In the craziness of all the flashing and questions, I still caught Dan's eyes. He looked hurt, it killed me to see him look like that.

Tom had wondered away a bit ago so I was standing by one of the tall tables set up throughout the room people watching.

"Hey you,"  soft voice from behind me said.

"Dan! Thank God a familiar face! I thought I'd be people watching forever!!" I said when I turned around and met his eyes.

"Where's Tom?" He asked.

"Off making deals with businessmen with weird mustaches, you know party stuff." I joked.

"Well uhh can we talk? In private?" He asked.

"Of course what about?" I said confused.

We walked over to a small coat room like area so we could talk in a quiet place.

"I can't believe you and Felton are dating." He started almost like he never thought someone would like me.

"Why? Is it so unbelievable that someone would like me?" I was clearly already defensive.

"Its just unbelievable because your this sweet, kind girl who worked hard to get where you are, and he's this party boy child star who only dates models."

I scoffed, "really says the guy who's here with a model right now? You say that like I'm any less of a star because of how I got here. Last time I checked your's and Tom's careers didn't start so different."

"That's not how I meant it. And i only came her with her because you said no!"

"Yeah well if that's all you wanted to talk about I better go find Tom." I said walking away.

"No wait thats not all I wanted to talk about," he said catching up to me. "You know he's using you, you know that right."

"What are you talking about?"

"Do you really think him bringing you to this party and 'confirming your relationship', we're up for the same sponsorship deal you can't try to tell me he didn't know what he was doing with the press out there."

Hurt was probably showing on my face right now, but I couldn't care about that right now I needed to be away from him, not let him see that what he said bothered me. Thats all apart of the act right? "Dan I think its best if we don't talk for right now." And I marched away.

I went back to the table I was standing at earlier, back to people watching. I noticed Tom talking to girl in a stunning dress. I was anxiously waiting for her to turn around to see who she was and then I realized who it was. Jade Olivia, of course she was here too. This was the perfect place for him to cover all bases, I should've known. When he caught my eye he excused himself and walked towards me. "Hey you, where ya been?"

"Just talking to dan. Hows Jade?"

"Can we talk about it in the limo, not really a party subject." He said tugging on my arm. "Let's go socialize, come one."

I decided I'd drop it until later and enjoy the beautiful power while we were there.

Why do I even care so much that he did that? It was apart of the agreement, right? We act like we're together while we are trying to get with someone else. But what am I supposed to do if I don't know what I want anymore?
