Ch. 12 [distance]

That night I realized the real reason I was smiling at Tom's texts. I've fallen for him while trying to make dan jealous. I decided that now its time for me to distance myself I can't let myself fall for someone who loves someone else.

I decided that for me, I needed to just he quieter around him. Maybe then he will give up and this whole dumb fake relationship will be over with.

The next day Tom came to pick me up. I didn't say anything. "Morning sunshine. Wake up on the wrong side of the bed did we?" He questioned noticing my change in attitude.

"Morning." I blankly said.

"What no croissant this morning? I'm having withdrawals. I feel like I haven't had one in forever. "

"Maybe tomorrow I guess."

Tom looked at me questioning the act I was putting on, knowing it was strange for me "C'mon L/N what's up with you? I thought we were cool again?"

"W-we are. I'm just really tired, I think I am going to go to sleep until we get to set." Not wanting to explain the real reason I didn't want to talk to him. I mean how do you even tell your fake boyfriend that you have real feelings for him? Especially when you know they like someone else? I nuzzled myself up against the car window and just shut my eyes. I could feel Tom glance at me time to time.

When we got to set I left the car as quickly as possible not wanting to talk to him. I ran over to emma and tried to hurry into a conversation so I would look busy. Tom looked over at the two of us wondering why I acted the way I did in the car, but now was acting like my normal self I'm sure.

Suddenly the doors opened and the producers walked in. "Hey guys, I hate to interrupt filming and everything but I will need a few of the main actors to come along with me for some press tour stuff. With the premier of The Order of the Phoenix just 2 weeks away we really need to promote it. I would prefer to have certain people if they are available obviously so please let me know."

"Want to sign up? It could be fun." Emma said looking to me.

"Yeah let's do it!" I said walking over towards the producers to let them know emma and I could be expected to attend.

Before I made it to them someone had caught me, by grabbing my hand. I turned to see who it was and realized it was tom.

"You signing up for the interviews?" He asked.

"Yeah me and emma are."

"I'll sigh up too then, it should be fun!"

Great, just when I was supposed to be keeping my distance we have to go on a trip together and do press. What could possibly go wrong!
