Ch. 13 [ deflections and decisions]

"Alright so the people who are coming today is Emma, Rupert, Tom, Y/N, Alan, and Helena. Right?" One of the producers said as we all started showing up at the airport.

We were getting on a plane to go to America since the film releases there first, we were going to do press there.

"Who are you sitting with on the plane?" Emma came up behind me.

"You, unless your sick of me already, which in that case still you!"

Emma fake coughed trying to emphasize her being sick of me. We both laughed.

I walked off to go to the bathroom but a hand grabbed mine. I turned around and saw Dan. "I thought you weren't supposed to be coming." I said coldly.

"I wasn't supposed to originally but everyone else was, so I thought why not."

"Oh." I said, thinking about how this changes how I thought this press stuff would go.

"Oh?" Dan said giggling. "Is that okay with you?" He questioned.

"Yeah, thats fine, no worries here, totallyy okay with me." I babbled.

"Did you know that you jabber in awkward situations." Dan said.

"Yeah, I guess so," I giggled on. "You know I'm sorry about what happened that was wrong of me."

"Me too, It's really been bothering me that we were on the outs these past days."

"Me too," I smiled at him and gave him a good hug.

"How are you and lover boy anyways?" Dad asked looking almost like he didn't want to know the answer.

"Great!" I answered short and fast now realizing that I babble in situations like this.

"Um ok, well we better make our way over to the waiting area our flight to L.A. is going to leave any minute now."

Dan and I walked over to the waiting area and We went our Separate ways. I started towards Emma before getting cut off by Tom. "Hey what was going on with you and dan?"

"We just made up thats all." I said shortly trying to avoid a real conversation.

"What, really? Well I mean why were you guys hugging?" Tom questioned.

"Because we are friends, what do you mean why were we hugging?" I said starting to get angry.

"Well you just shouldn't have been doing that in the airport is all. People might take a picture out of context or something." He said shrugging it off. "Anyways, want to sit next to me on the plane?"

"Can't sitting with Emma." I said in the same tone I used with dan when I was nervous the look on his face was utter confusion. With that I walked away towards Emma.

"FLIGHT B395 NOW BOARDING"

I quickly grabbed Emma and started power walking towards the entrance. "Ope don't want everyone to get the good seats!"

"Y/n why are you acting so weird right now?" Emma whisper yelled at me.

"Ill explain on the plane." I whisper yelled back.

Once we got onto the plane I explained everything that just happened except for that Tom and I aren't really dating... duh.

Hour 5 of 11 of the flight.

I had been staring out the window for some time thinking about everything and wondering if this was the best idea. I needed to talk to someone other than myself about it.

I turned to Emma suddenly and shook her from her 3 hour long nap. "Do you think this was a mistake?"

"Do I think what? was a what?" She said still groggy and not comprehending things yet.

"Do you think this was a mistake??" I repeated.

" I still don't know what this your talking about y/n your going to have to be more specific!" She whisper yelled.

Knowing that anyone could be hearing this conversation I grabbed her arm and pulled her towards the bathroom and locked the door.

"Y/n what the hell!" She yelled at me.

"Tom and I aren't actually dating." I finally got that off my chest.

"Wh-what are you talking about?" She said shocked.

"We were faking it."

"Why would you do that?" She said not understanding the concept.

"Jade cheated on him so he asked if we could pretend like we were dating so we could get some press and make her jealous. I agreed because I knew that dan would never look at me as anything more than a friend unless I made a big move."

"Erm, okay." She mumbled as she processed. "So whats the problem, what are you having doubts about?"

"I think I have real feelings for him."

"Well shit y/n." Emma said.

"Yeah I know."

"Well you have to tell him, you can't keep doing this." Emma advised.

"Im not doing it on this trip though what if he doesn't feel the same way!" I protested.

"Well when we get home you have to either end your 'relationship' or tell him how you feel. That part is on you. But, I'm not helping you lie when we get back."
