Aisha drew in a sharp breath at the slip up, instantaneously entering a panic mode.

"WHAT HAVE I DONE?!" she shrieked, her hands almost giving up on holding the phone. She stared at the text, having posted a 'shit' to make it even more obvious.

I mean, wasn't it obvious already that she liked him more than a friend, now that she had written that accidentally?

She hadn't known when this had happened, but ever since she had gotten used to his messages, she had started depending on him to make her hopeless days better. When did their talks take that turn? She didn't know, but all she had ended up with was the fact that she had come to recognize her feelings for him.

She liked her, maybe more than she should.

But the bigger question remained: did he like her too?

She was willing to tell him what she felt, but then, the train of doubts stationed at her mind.

What if he didn't? What if he saw her as just a crazy fan, who had gotten lucky accidentally?

What if he didn't talk to her again? Would she be able to handle that?

But the faith she had in him restored her thoughts – he possibly wouldn't do that. Possibly.

Well, screw it, she was going to confess. She couldn't keep it inside her and let it rot her away.

Me:

I don't think I'd be comfortable talking about it on text

Can I call you?

Chan:

Ofc!

Her heart pounded against her chest.

---

His heart pounded against his chest.

What was she going to tell him? Something positive? Or a bad news? By the looks of it, it seemed like something serious.

He couldn't tell if he was waiting for the call, or dreading it.

That's when his phone rung, and he answered, "Hello?"

"Hey, Chan?"

"Aisha."

There was buzzing on the other end for a few seconds. Then hard breathing sounds.

"Aisha?" he asked.

"I'm not ready for this," she sighed, and it only helped the level of anxiety rise in Chan.

"Okay, you're scaring me now. What is it?" he asked in a grave tone.

"Chan..."

"Yeah?"

"It's gonna sound weird," she giggled nervously, and the curiosity in his mind rose drastically.

"I won't judge..."

"Okay, so... Chan, are you tired?"

"Huh?"

"Because you run through my mind all the time."

It took Chan a moment to process her pickup line, "Wait, are you hinting that...?"

"YES! I like you so much, and it's okay if you don't like me because I'm not-"

"I feel the same way, Aisha," his face was flushed red when he confessed, even though they weren't present in person; even though they weren't face-to-face.

There was silent on the line for a moment; then, Aisha spoke, "Are you serious?"

"Of course, I am!"

"You swear on god?"

"I do."

"JESUS CHRIST!" she laughed loudly, "Oh, my god, I can't believe this!"

"Neither can I!" Chan chuckled, "I've liked you for so long- oh, crap!"

He didn't mean to let it out. Great, now she was just going to know how desperate he was.

"Really?" she chuckled, "You're so cute, what the hell?"

He giggled, grateful that she didn't dwell on his words for long. She was just who he wanted, and didn't know he needed.
