The boisterous chirping of the birds outside the window was the first sound she heard when she stirred in her sleep, and as the effect of the pill wore out, she felt something on her face. Her skin sent tingles down her body as her eyes fluttered open to see Chan peppering kisses all over her face.
She could get used to this.
"Good morning, baby," he spoke in a husky morning voice, and continued pecking her all over her face.
Aisha giggled, "Good morning to you too."
"This is much better than the morning texts," he hummed, close to her face.
"I agree," she hummed along.
Chan then fell back on the bed beside her, propping his head up on his palm and looking at her.
"What are you looking at?" she questioned, looking back at him.
"I'm looking at my Sleeping Beauty," he chuckled, "Who looks as ethereal as ever, even after having just woken up."
"That's an exaggeration," she laughed.
"I don't exaggerate," he showed his dimples smile.
"Seriously? My hair's going in all kinds of directions right now, and I'm sure my droopy eyes aren't that attractive at the moment."
"I guess it was Miss Heo Aisha who told me to love myself the way I am. Have you seen her around?" he joked, and she laughed.
"I think I've seen her," Aisha played along.
"Where did you last see her?"
"Last time I saw, she was kissing you," she spoke, and then shifted forward to peck him on the lips.
"Mhm, I couldn't get that yet. Could you demonstrate it again?" he acted innocent.
She giggled, leaning forward again to peck him again.
"Not yet."
"You really do want the full experience, don't you?" she mimicked a sigh, and then, with a huge smile, she embraced his lips with hers, passionately kissing him. He didn't hesitate before kissing her back, and as their lips moved in perfect rhythm, their heartbeats sped up in sync.
It took them a moment to part, and when they did, Chan grinned, satisfied, "This made my day a hundred times better."
"Same here! I wish we could do this every day," she muttered.
"I do too... but you know how the kids are," he sighed, "Plus, I gotta head back."
"Already?"
"We'll meet soon, I promise," he pressed his lips on her cheek, and then sat up straight, searching for his t-shirt, and finding it and putting it on.
"Bye, Aisha!" he spoke, grabbing his phone and face mask, and she got up from the bed and hugged him.
"Thank you for saving my life," she whispered to him, and he rubbed her back.
"I couldn't afford to lose you anyway, no need to thank me," he smiled at her, pulling away and sparing her one last wave of the hand before walking out of the door.
And suddenly, the house felt empty again.
Next chapter:
"Ahh! Hang up the phone, Aisha!" Chan yelled from the ground.
Hyunjin seal-clapped, "Look who's being dramatic now!"
"Well, these are the side-effects of living with Hyunjin," Changbin remarked.
(a/n: ugh why are they so cute)
