Alex's P.O.V

"Not talking about that either Alex. As much as I enjoy your company I really want to be alone," he says.

Ignoring the fact that he's trying to get rid of me I just sit across from him. Something is bugging my brother lately and it's making him act weird. He rarely acts like this but when he does he always pushes me away. All I want to do is help him. This may not be the best way to go about this but I have to try.

"What's going on with you? The truth. I know something is bugging you. Give me a real answer," I say while looking him dead in the eye.

"Alex-" he starts to say but I cut him off saying that I want the truth.

"You always push me away. I'm not stupid. Something is wrong so why can't you tell me? I can't help if I don't know what's wrong. Whatever it is I can-" I say but he cuts me off by slamming his hand on the table.

"Let it go Alex! I'm not telling you because I don't want to! I don't want or need your help! Why can't you mind your own damn business?!" he yells while standing up. After a minute he apologizes for yelling. Leo's never yelled at me like that.

"I'm sorry for pushing the issue," I say while standing up.

"Alex, wait... Yes, something is going on right now but I can't talk about it. It's hard to talk about even with you. I'll be okay. You don't need to worry about me Alex. One day I will tell you but that day can't be now. Can you understand that?" he explains so I nod.

I shouldn't have pushed it in the first place. It's just hard to see him hurting. Leo's always been there for me and I just wanted to do the same.

"Yeah, I understand. Sorry again," I tell him but he just shakes his head.

He tells me it's fine because he knows that I'm just worried about him. After talking for a little while longer Tristan comes in with lunch for us both.

"Thanks," I tell him when he gives me my plate. Tristan starts gathering Leo's clothes, probably to wash them. Leo's watching him move around making it obvious how much he cares for him. I tease them both a lot but I really do want the two of them together and so does mother. They're perfect for each other.

"One day I hope I'll be able to look at someone the way you look at Tristan," I tell my brother.

"You will and she'll look at you the same way," he says in response.

"Maybe," I say looking at my food. Tristan tells us that he's going to finish his chores for the day and see us later.

"Tristan? Come here a moment," Leo calls out. Tristan walks over and asks if Leo needed anything.

"Yes, actually. Little Alex here doesn't seem to think he'll fall in love. What do you think?" Leo asks him.

"Little Alex will be just fine. I mean it's not like practically every girl in Camelot already loves our young prince," Tristan says smirking.

"I am not little," I tell them annoyed but they both laugh. Asses. Both of them. Tristan picks up a basket with dirty clothes and leaves the room.

"Sire?" Tristan says walking back into the chambers with the basket still in hand. Leo gives him a look and tells Tristan not to call him that.

"Sorry Leo but the king wants to see you," he says.

Leo's P.O.V

As soon as Tristan told me that my father wanted to see me my heart sank. I'm making my way to the Council Chamber anyways though because no matter what, I have to act like nothing's wrong. No one can know how I actually feel about my father. If they knew how I felt, they'd ask why and no one can know why. It takes me more than a few minutes to reach my destination because I decide to take my time.
