Tristan's P.O.V

As we're riding I notice someone up ahead hiding behind the trees. This is bad... We're about to walk into an ambush. I have to warn the others somehow. Before I can think of what to do I notice Leo and Alex reaching for their swords. I watch as they emerge from their hiding places and attack us. At least ten men surround us most with swords drawn but two have crossbows aimed.

"Forbearnan firgenholt. / Mountain wood, burn!" I say under my breath. It makes the tree branch above one of the bandits with a crossbow fall.

We all quickly climb down off our horses and engage in a fight. Alden uses a crossbow to take down the other bandit with the same weapon. When I look over I notice another bandit with a crossbow aimed directly at Leo. Oh no you don't. In the middle of the commotion and without thinking I drop my sword. Then I run in between Leo and the bandit.

"Forb fleoghe! / Fly forth!" I say pushing the guy back into a tree with force.

I turn around to see the others took care of the rest of the bandits. I let out a breath of relief. That's when I realize how Leo is looking at me. Did he see me?! He walks over to me, looks at the bandit I threw against a tree and then at me.

"Is something wrong?" Alex asks when he sees my panicked expression. I take a step back in fear but Leo sheaths his sword when he sees me looking at it. He shakes his head.

Leo's P.O.V

I turn around and watch as Tristan drops his sword and runs off to the side. Is he crazy?! He says something I can't hear and moves his arm out in front of him. The bandit flies back into a tree hard. Did he just...? I make my way over to him and look from the bandit to him.

"Is something wrong?" Alex asks. Tristan takes a step back looking at my sword. I place it back in its sheath and shake my head.

"We should hurry and get back. Don't want to worry mother," I say keeping my eyes on Tristan.

Alex agrees so we mount our horses again and quickly make for Camelot. After a bit more riding we reach the gates and cross the drawbridge. We continue until we reach the main square where our mother is awaiting our arrival.

"Who caught that?" she asks, pointing to the boar. "Alex," I say as I climb down. Then I tell her I'm heading to my chambers. Leon and Alex stay behind to explain what happened. I ask a passing servant to take care of the horses as I walk up the main staircase. Tristan follows but lags behind.

As we approach my chambers I turn around to grab Tristan's hand and pull him inside. I shut the door and use the key to lock it before turning around to face him.

"I could be wrong about this but," I start to say while sitting on my bed, "were you using ma-"

Before I can finish my question he rushes over and slaps a hand over my mouth. He ends up pushing me backward and laying half on top of me. Oh...

"Please don't say that word..." he pleads. I nod and he pulls back with a relieved sigh.

"I wanted to tell you..." he says sitting next to me. I explain that I understood why he didn't. Magic is still forbidden in Camelot and if anyone had found out about him he would've been killed. He could still be killed...

"Tristan you need to be more careful. We can't let anyone else find out about this. I can't lose you..." I say softly. He seems surprised by what I said but he nods anyway. We hear a small thud at the door so I quickly get up and unlock it.

"Alex. What are you doing?" I ask, pulling him inside. I close the door as he says he was curious as to whether or not Tristan was coming clean with me.
