14 - You Can Sit On My Lap! Don't Worry, I'm Comfortable.
When I get home I immediately change into comfortable sweat pants and take a tub of ice cream out to the freezer. I collapse on the couch and sigh, homework can wait until Sunday night. This is just another typical Friday in my life.
The rest of the day after the fall was uneventful, whispers continued during the rest of the day, and I still don't know why. It's not like anyone saw me faint, well, at least I hope not. The news of me fainting and Evan carrying me to the nurse would spread like a wildfire.
In the best scenario people could have just saw Evan carrying me and thought I fell asleep, but the worst is that they could assume he was taking me home — if you know what I mean. Right now all I can do is hope that nothing too bad is going around.
As I am about to doze off there is a loud knock on the front door which causes me to groan loudly, after a minute on debating whether I should get up or not I decide I should get up, It could be important. l drag myself off of the couch and walk over to the door, when I open it I see the guys and Jess; suddenly I feel embarrassed with how I look.
They all charge past me the second I open it without giving me a chance to say anything, "Well wasn't that a warm welcome."
"We are going to a party." Jess exclaims then drags me upstairs, probably to get me dressed.
"Shouldn't you ask me if I want to go first?" I cringe at the idea of going to a party.
"Nope, if you make the getting ready process easy I won't tell the guys the disaster that happened last time you went to a party," she says with a devious smile.
Last time I went to a party it turned out to be a disaster, I got so drunk I literally walked up and down my street about forty times trying to find my house, and when I finally can to realization my dad was home, also drunk. That night didn't turn out well, after him yelling for a while everything after that is blurry, so I don't know how that night ended.
"Fine." I answer after a moment of hesitation, "As long as I get to approve of what I'm wearing."
"Deal, but has to be a dress!" she points out and starts to look though my closet. "How about this one?" she asks then pulls out a short red dress.
"No way," I shake my head. "I chose that dress when I was fourteen, back then I thought it was cool to dress like that."
"Fine, how about this?" she asks again, pulling out another short dress, but it isn't has short as short as the first one, and this time it is green.
"No," I refuse, this one was when I thought green was the best color in the world. "How about one of my blue dresses?"
"This one?" she asks then takes out a dress that goes down mid-thigh and is blue, it is covered in flowers, which is my favorite part about it, and has a thin brown belt around the waist.
"I will try it on, I don't know if it still fits." I say then take off my sweatpants and the baggy shirt that I was wearing, I don't mind changing in front of Jess because she is my best friend.
"That looks great on you!" she squeals once I turn around and show her. "Now is time for you hair and makeup!"
"What about you?" I ask, eyeing her outfit. She has her makeup done, but I haven't seen a dress.
