16 - Three Hours and Four Large Ice Cream Cups Later.
"What?" Mason explains in disbelief, spitting out all the water that was in his mouth all over his face, Evan was sitting next to Mary.
Is this some kind of joke? Why do I care so much if he gay or not?
I look over to Mary who looks horrified, I know she thinks there is nothing wrong with being gay, but I don't think she was expecting that.
"You should have saw your faces!" Evan exclaims bursting out laughing, he's laughing so hard I wouldn't be surprised if he started wheezing. "I way kidding," he wheezes then continues laughing his ass off, which makes me and everyone else in the room scowl, besides Tony - who is laughing along with him. When did he get there?
"You dimwit!" Mary yells and slaps the back of his head, but he continues laughing anyway, and so does Tony.
Tony reaches his hand out to and slaps Evan's hand, "Great job!" he manages to say in between his hysterical fits of laughter.
"This was a dare?" I ask, laughing slightly myself, not at the 'confession' but the look of relief evident on Mary and Mason's faces — now that's hysterical.
"Of course," he says then wipes his forehead, as if he was wiping sweat. "I'm not gay."
"You almost gave me a heart attack!" Mason exclaims. "Never do that again"
"What if I actually was gay?" Evan asks mischievously, smirking.
"I-I don't know." Mason admits then shrugs.
The room falls into an awkward silence. After about a minute Evan coughs, "Melissa do you want ice cream?"
"Sure," I smile then the room falls silent again.
"I will get dressed then take you out. . ." he trails off the gets up and walks toward his room.
"Can I come?" Tony asks with a hopeful expression.
"If it's okay with your parents." I laugh then look over to Mary and she nods her head.
"Go get dressed and you can go with them." Mary smiles then Tony runs upstairs. Once he out of sight she turns back to me. "Are you sure everything is okay at home? Don't act like that massive bruise doesn't exist."
"Everything is fine." I have no clue what's going on. "I forget how I got it."
"You forget?" Mason asks, furrowing his eyebrows in confusion. "Do you think that you forgetting has something to do with your dad?"
"Of course not." I hesitate, grimacing, why would he has anything to do with this? "I mean, he is never home, so how could he?"
"I know we have said this a lot, but please tell us if anything is wrong." Mary pleads with worry evident in her eyes.
"I promise you will be the first ones I go to if something happens." I smile halfheartedly then I hear heavy footsteps coming down the stairs.
"Mom, did you seriously say that Tony can come?" Evan complains glancing over to his little brother who is smirking.
"Yes, I did," she smiles then looks at me. "You three need to have some bonding time."
