Chapter 22

'Priority'

Y/n's pov

"Yes I assure you your daughter is alright. She woke up just now." I said through the phone when Jennie gave it to me.

Mina's parents doesn't know korean and I had to tell them in english so they could understand. Her father isn't that much of an english speaker but her mother is excellent, just like her daughter.

"May I speak to her please?" Her mother asked and I gave the phone to Mina who was sitting on the bed while a nurse checked on her status.

I backed away from the bed and sat besides Jennie who was on the couch. I don't know if Mina's parents knows who Jennie and Lisa are but I do know is they know me.

"How was your date?" Lisa asked quietly while we looked at Mina who was smiling at the phonecall. Seems like she hasn't been talking to her parents for a while.

"It was good." I said neutrally and felt guilty when I didn't even think about how Chaeyoung is doing right now. She's probably resting or hanging out with Sooyoung.

"Just good? I think taking your date to a hotel is a little extreme and too much." Jennie said and I got confused. Earlier she sounded excited to hear about it now I get this treatment?

"She helped me redeem myself, why do I have to explain myself to you again?" I asked a little annoyed. Jennie opened her mouth to speak but Lisa tugged her arm stopping her.

"Not here in front of Mina." Lisa whispered and I rolled my eyes.

The nurse said something about eating and drink lots of water to Mina and left us. I cleared my throat and sat besides her back to my place recently.

"I'm hanging up now, I love you too bye." Mina handed me the phone and I passed it to Jennie besides me.

"How are you?" I asked genuinely concern for her health and she just lets out a chuckle.

"I'm fine. Like the nurse said I just need rest." Mina smiled and I believed her.

"What were you thinking? Not eating while you know you had dance practice." Jennie scolded Mina.

"I wasn't hungry, besides I wanted to attend the practice before I go home."

"Do you want me to take you home today? Your parents won't come back until tomorrow morning." I offered.

Mina's parents are away at the moment that's why they aren't here right now. I think they went to a business trip? Or a weekend alone for themselves.

The doctor told Lisa earlier that she can go home today. They recommend a few medicines for her to take and just to keep a close eye on her before things get worse.

"Yeah that would be great."

"Are you still tired? We can go ahead now if you'd like." I asked and Mina nodded immediately.

"I'm already sick of this place."

All of us laughed and helped Mina get up from her feet. I held her arm and helped her walk to the wheelchair besides the bed.
