Chapter 27

'Cooking dinner'

Y/n's pov

"You don't have to beat yourself over it. You had a right to be mad." Chaeyoung kept telling me the same thing over and over again.

We just left my building and she insisted on driving. She's right, I'm in no state to be focused on the road.

"But the look on their faces. I can't, I need to apologize." I pull out my phone but got sadly taken away from me in a flash.

I sighed and gave up, dropping my hands on my lap.

"Am I suppose to watch you get hurt again? Ofcourse not." She kept my phone in her bag and I could only laugh.

Even if there was a situation like this, she still manages to make me smile in a way.

"You'll be a great mother some day. But don't make scolding kids a habit." I said and she rolled her eyes laughing.

"I don't want kids when I grow older." She said and it kind of made no sense. She's bubbly and an active girl, she could be a perfect mom in the future.

"That makes no sense. Who wouldn't want to have kids?" I asked and she shrugged.

"Do you want to have kids?" She asked and I stopped for a second to think.

I remembered my childhood and how my parents treated me growing up. My dad wasn't here, but my mom kept me going. I don't want to make my kid feel abandoned...

"Yeah. My parents might suck at that specialty, but I know a thing or two when it came to children." I smiled and so did she.

"Well then, I think I want kids as well." Chaeyoung whispered and I laughed shaking my head.

"As long as it's yours, then I think we're good." Chaeyoung made a teasing look and I could only roll my eyes.

"What makes you think we'd be together in a few years?" I asked.

"Oh I just know. It wouldn't be me to just let you go."

"Real classy." I said and she laughed.

Though I feel as if Jennie was right. We've been friends for years and I just met Chaeyoung. I even hated her when I did but I grew fond of her.

It is not like me to just trust someone, I admit that. But when Mina told me to get to know Chaeyoung more, I feel the need to. I'm glad that she did told me to do it.

But what if Mina told me not to take her on that date? Will things be different than they are before?

"We're here." Chaeyoung announced and we both got off my car, heading to her apartment.

"Is Taehyung still here?" I asked while we walked side by side.

"I think he went home hours ago. Sooyoung's at her parents, she texted earlier." Chaeyoung informed me as we walking inside the elevator.

I felt her hand sneak up mine and she acted like she didn't do anything. I smiled and held onto her for a while.

"I'm cooking dinner, anything you want to eat?" She asked me as we entered her apartment room.
