'She forgot'

Y/n's pov

"I know I know. I'll meet you after I have lunch with Mina." I had already stood up and Chaeyoung is half asleep on my bed.

She kept asking me questions, groggily and one eyed open. I'm starting to think she's an obsessive girlfriend who won't trust me. I'm kidding, obviously.

"I wanted to spend the day with you." She whined and I could just laugh at her cuteness. I knelt down and brushed a few strands away from her face.

"I think you need some more rest. I will come and get you, I promise." I kissed her temple and wore my hoodie.

I took off the arm sling, I feel pretty confident on driving today. I still feel a little pain when I move my arm left and right, but my wrist stopped hurting since I slept like a baby last night.

"I love you y/n." She mumbled and had already started to snore already. I chuckled and walked towards my door.

I looked back and studied her carefully. "I love you too Chaeyoung..." I whispered and went ahead on my way.

Before we went out seperate ways last night, Mina and I decided on where to go to lunch. She said she'll meet me there and to call her in case she doesn't show up.

I wanted to pick her up but she declined and that was weird. I always forced her to agree with me but this time she really disagreed like she was doing something.

I stood in front of my car and fiddled with the keys. Is driving a good idea? Probably. Will Chaeyoung skin me alive? Definitely.

"There you are!"

I turned around and saw Mi-seon stomping her way here. Oh my god, I haven't seen her around since a month ago. How the hell did she slip in my mind?

"Mi-seon? Where were-" I got cut off when she hugged me. I froze and remembered how my mother would embrace me as her kid.

How she would hug her child that she loved most dearly. I felt Mi-seon's motherly instinct and I never knew that I needed. I wrapped my arms around her, missing my mother's touch that only Mi-seon could match.

We might bicker at times but I know that my landlord care for me like her own daughter. She made sure of that.

"You got shot and didn't tell me!" She hit me on the right arm making me wince in pain and back away.

"This is why I didn't tell you!" I said loudly and massaged my arm, she sighed and put her hand on her hip making me laugh.

She is definitely like a mother I never had.

"Hey it's me again. I've been here for 15 minutes, where are you?" I left another voice message and tapped my fingers continuously on the table.

I ate an appetizer since I haven't eaten breakfast. I'm starting to get worried and Mina isn't usually late.

I chose a local restaurant and sat here while other people around me are eating and I'm here drinking ice cold water on 1 pm.
