Marleigh's P.O.V.:

Noah dropped me off at home around 7:30pm and I decided I should probably check my phone and see what Austin said. It was then that I realized I had missed more than just one message from him.

Babe💘: hey, how is shannon?

Babe💘: i feel bad about bringing up going to the gym, I'm sorry, I should've went with you

Babe💘: why are you ignoring me?

Babe💘: well at least now I know why...

Babe💘: you're such a damn hypocrite

What is he talking about? What did I do?

Marleigh: me? a hypocrite? Austin what are you referring to?

Babe💘: did you enjoy your date?

Marleigh: I wasn't on a date

Babe💘: so you're a liar now, too?

Marleigh: What are you talking about?

Babe💘: seriously just forget it

Marleigh: I'm coming over

Babe💘: don't bother

Marleigh: well I'm doing it anyway

He sure knows how to put a girl in a pissy mood. He likes to make accusations before knowing the whole story, and that causes a lot of issues in our relationship if you can't already tell.

I got myself ready to leave and then I got in my car and drove off, heading to his place.

It's the night before the first football game of the season and I really don't want any tension between us to throw off him or myself in our performances tomorrow.

I parked my car on the side of the road and I rang the doorbell. His mom answered the door about ten seconds later with a warm smile.

"Hi Marleigh, come on in, sweetie!" She opened the door for me and allowed me inside.

"Thank you," I smiled, "Is Austin in his room?"

"He's in the basement with some friends." She smiled as she went back to what she was doing before.

Great. I have to talk to him when he's in the middle of hanging with his douchebag friends.

I went to the basement stairs and walked down quietly. Austin was the first to look up and he just rolled his eyes at me.

"Austin, can we please talk?" I asked quietly.

"Did you hear that boys? The liar wants to talk." He said, making his friends laugh.

"Austin, please?" I hated begging him for anything, but especially in front of other people. It makes me look weak and inferior and I hate that.

"I told you not to come here." He said without even looking at me.

"Yeah, and I did anyway... Austin, seriously, can we please just go upstairs and—" I tried, but of course Austin didn't want to hear it.
