Marleigh's P.O.V.:

I just stood there as Austin walked away, feeling really self-conscious about myself after what he said.

"Hey, do you wanna hang out for study hall?" Noah appeared behind me.

I turned around and looked up at him, trying to hide the frown on my face, "Sure."

"Is everything okay?" He asked, taking a step closer to me.

"Yeah, everything's fine." I gave him a small smile, "Let me just grab my bag."

I went back to our table and said goodbye to everyone and left with Noah, making a stop at my locker so I could grab my chemistry book to work on the periodic table assignment.

Noah and I made our way to the library and found an empty table in the corner. I started pulling out my stuff when I noticed Noah watching me.

"Why are you staring at me?" I asked.

"I just don't think you were being completely honest earlier... Ya know... When you said everything was okay?" He said, treading lightly.

I sank in my seat, "Do you think I'm too skinny?"

"What?" He furrowed his eyebrows, "What made you ask that?"

"Can you just answer the question?" I put my head in my hands as I rested my elbows on the table in front of us.

"No, I don't think you're too skinny," he said, and I knew he was being sincere, "Now will you answer my question? What made you ask me that?"

"It's just something that someone said, it's not a big deal." I shrugged as I pulled my chemistry book out of my bag.

"Don't listen to them, Marleigh. They're just trying to make you feel bad about yourself, they're probably just jealous." He obviously thinks that it was a girl who said it and not Austin.

"Thanks." I gave him a sad smile before turning to my assignment and trying to work through it. It was hard to work on it with Austin in the back of my mind. Then my phone buzzed in my pocket.

Babe💘: where are you?

I sighed, not wanting to answer him, but I knew I should.

Marleigh: you walked off so I went to the library with Noah to do homework.

Babe💘: can you meet me in the courtyard?

Marleigh: why?

Babe💘: please?

Marleigh: fine

I started packing up my things and Noah's expression changed to confused, "Going somewhere?"

"I have to talk to Austin about something." I said without meeting his eyes.

"Is everything okay between you two?" He asked.

"Is it ever okay between us?" I said as I stood up and left the library and headed to the courtyard.

I found Austin sitting on one of the benches around the fountain. I walked over and sat beside him, but not too close.

"I didn't mean what I said, I was a total ass... I'm sorry." He said, and I could tell that he was upset with himself.

"I'm healthy, Austin. I take care of my body just like you do, we just do it in different ways." I said, looking at the ground.
