Bree Campbell didn't know why she signed up for the anonymous "Forging Friendships" program offered by her new high school.

(Well actually, she was curious and thought it was a fun and refreshing way to meet new people.)

It wasn't like Bree was strangers with everyone in her year- she had her small group of friends from middle school, but that was it. Bree wanted to step out of her comfort zone. Plus, she was a freshman, hence it would be good for her to make acquaintances in this unfamiliar setting.

Bree stared at the login screen in front of her. She bit her lip, hastily thought of a random username, and created her account.

She'd signed up to be paired with a freshman- maybe they could help each other out? Help each other out anonymously? (Bree wasn't too keen on revealing her identity to a complete stranger on the Internet, even if they went to her school.)

Bree was admittedly very curious about who she would be paired with. It was rather exciting to meet new people that way. Bree leaned back on her chair and fiddled with one of her bracelets.

There was no turning back now. Bree inhaled and stretched her fingers, physically and mentally preparing for what was about to happen.
