(This is sort of a horror one-shot based off the movie Oujia, but my own take on it)

George looked at the boy, who was now running at him. He looked down at the board in his hands and without a second thought, he chucked it into the fire along with the body. He looked back over and found the boy had stopped in his tracks, staring into the fire. George turned to Nick who looked at George, clearly confused. George turned his head back to the boy and found he was staring right back at him.

The boy then began to gag, falling to his knees coughing up dark goop. George looked at Nick once again, before taking a step towards the boy. The boy looked up and held up a hand to George, who stopped. The boy continued to cough up black goop, gasping for air, and soon enough, it stopped. The boy began to catch his breath, breathing deeply, before standing up and looking at George and Nick. He smiled before he disappeared, turning to what looked like dust. George let out a sigh of relief before turning to Nick.

"We did it," Nick said

George nodded "Yeah, we did."

Nick sighed and turned back to the fire "I feel a little bad though." He said

George looked at him "Why?"

Nick looked at George "We literally burned his body," Nick said, "I don't know about you, but I wouldn't want my body to be burned."

George nodded and looked back to where the boy had been standing.

"No," He said, "No I wouldn't."

Le Timeskip

George took one last look at the news article on the screen of his laptop before letting out a sigh. He closed his eyes before rubbing them gently. He opened his eyes before letting out a yelp and falling off his bed. He back up to the wall, staring in horror as the figure on his bed knelt there, staring back at him.

"I-I'm sorry." He said

George looked at the boy in terror, why was he here?

"H-how, n-no," George stuttered "H-how are y-you here?"

The boy looked at him for a second before sighing and reaching into one of his pockets. He pulled something out, looking at it for a second before revealing it to George.

It was the planchette.

"You forgot about this."

George caught his breath as he stared at the piece of wood in the boy's hands. He looked back up at the boy who was still looking down at it. The boy let out a sigh before setting it onto George's bed and standing up.

"W-why are you here?" George asked

The boy looked down at his hands "I just wanted to say, sorry," The boy looked up at George "And thank you."

George looked at the boy and nodded "It's no problem."

The boy looked at George before looking back at the planchette. He picked it up before snapping it in half.

He turned to George and sighed "I'm not able to leave, but at least I won't be attached to you and your friend."

George looked at the boy, speechless. The boy looked down and turned around. George sighed and stood up, looking at the planchette before looking back at the boy.

"If you can't, move on," George hesitated before continuing "You can stay if you want."

The boy's head popped up and he turned to George "W-what?"

George sighed "Well, you might as well." he said, "As long as your not much trouble."

The boy's eyes widened "Are you sure?" he asked

George thought about it for a second "One one condition." George said

The boy tilted his head "You tell me your name."

The boy thought about it for a second before looking back at George.

"My name's Clay."
