Y/n's POV-

Sitting against the wall in silence, you had brought yourself to come to terms with that fact that you'd probably never escape Moon Jo.

No amount of begging or crying would do anything at this point. You were stuck.

You were a tear stained bloody mess, weak and completely broken. Maybe death would be better than this. You had nothing going for you anymore. What was the point.

Suddenly you snap out of your head to the sound of the door being unlocked.

You didn't even bother to look up once the door opened. You didn't scream nor cry, you just sat in silence as he stepped in.

He walks over to you, kneeling in front to you while he gazed down at your broken expression.

You finally look up at him as he brings up a wet cloth, flinching a bit as he cleans off the dry blood from your face. Once he was done, he pulled the cloth away and sighed, looking at you with a shameful expression before looking down.

"Last night.." he begins
"I wasn't myself"

You feel your eyes start to burn as unwanted tears started to build up again

"I hurt you..again, and I apologize" he says

You didn't bother wiping away your tears, you were too weak to move.

He looks back up at you

"But I need you to understand that I did all of this to protect you" He starts

You look away from him, but he only makes you face him again

"All I want is to keep you safe."

You kept your eyes on his as he wiped away your tears, sighing before letting go of you

"Where would you have gone?" He asks

You look away as you continue to cry, you honestly didn't know the answer to that.

"Let me guess" he starts
"Back to Jong Suk so he could continue to hurt you instead?" He asks

You sniffle as you bring your head down

"Or how about going all the way back home so your mother could do the exact same thing?" He asks making you full on sob at this point

"Am I close?" He asks, making you face him again

You only cry, not responding to anything

"Honey...out there" he says making you face the open door
"You'll have nowhere to go. No one is waiting for you...nor do they care, not like I do." He says

You reach up and push his hands away from you

"No..no" you say, not wanting to believe that obviously true words he spoke

"If you cared you wouldn't have me locked up down here all alone!" You say in between sobs

"And if Jong Suk cared he would have been kicked down that door to save you" he snaps back

Taken aback by his words, you look down, speechless. He was right.

"But I can make it all better.." he starts making you look back up at him
"We..can make it all better." He finishes

You keep your gaze on his, your eyes flooded with tears

"I care about you Y/n, so much that it terrifies me..." He starts
"and the last thing I want is to hurt you again."
