Merlin: oh um I *pause* I just wanted to tell you something. But it's stupid and not important. I am just gonna go.

Arthur: Merlin it's okay. You know you can tell me anything.

Merlin: Anything?

Arthur: well yeah. Your my best friend *Merlin inhales sharply* and you mean the world to me

Merlin: Ok. Ok ok ok ok.

Arthur: take your time. You sound like you are about to collapse

Merlin: who's to say I'm not.

Arthur: okay seriously what is going on. It must be serious if it's stressing you out that much

Merlin: imgay *long pause on both ends*

Arthur: come again?

Merlin: *mentally facepalms* I said I am gay. And please don't make me say it again.

Arthur: Is this what you were so stressed about. You know I would accept you no matter what. Plus I am an openly gay male, what did you think I was going to- *literal gears turning in Arthur's head* you weren't just calling to tell me your gay were you?

Merlin: *barely audible* No I wasn't.

Arthur: ...Merlin?

Merlin: I love you okay! I love you with all my heart and I have wanted to tell you for months. But I was too scared. You are my best friend and we have known each other since we were three. I didn't want to ruin anything so I-

Arthur: kept it to yourself. Well your not the only one.

Merlin: what are you-

Arthur: I love you too Merlin.

*Excruciatingly long pause*

Merlin: come again

Arthur: *laughs lightly* you heard me idiot

Merlin: prat

Arthur: rude

Merlin: you started it.

Arthur: touche!

*Awkward silence between two gay ass beans*

Merlin: so what now?

Arthur: what are you doing right now?

Merlin: homework...why

Arthur: wanna come over?

Merlin: *Internally screaming* o-okay. Give me fifteen minutes.

Arthur: I'll be waiting.

Merlin: Arthur..

Arthur: yeah

Merlin: don't hang up

Arthur: I won't

But I will!!

I kinda liked this format, I might do more of these in the future. Cute lil chapter to make up for the dark Merlin fic either before or after this chapter (idk wattpad messed up the order)
