I'm walking down the street when someone grabbed my arm.
"Ay kiki ni Mang Juan!" Napahawak ako sa puso ko dahil sa sobrang kaba at gulat and to my surprise it was Ethan.
I scanned his whole being, rolled my eyes, and turn my back to him.
"Let's talk, Gabriella."
Gabriella.
Why is that simply calling my name ripped my heart? He never call me by my name since the day he said he likes me as well.
Huminto ako sa paglalakad at lumingon sa kanya, he didn't move, nakatayo pa din siya sa pwesto niya kanina. Pauwi na ako ng condo ko galing sa condo ni Lirah.
Lumapit ako sa kanya, I can't even look at him. Ang alam ko lang nasasaktan ako sa pag ignore niya sa akin, for almost two months.
"Here?" I asked after a minute of silence between us.
Instead of answering my question, naglakad na siya pabalik sa building ng condo ko at nakasunod lang ako sa kanya.
"If you wanted to say something, sabihin mo na. Huwag ka nang humanap ng lugar na magpapa-alala sa akin kung paano mo ako iniwanan." I said habang naglalakad mula sa likuran niya.
He stopped walking so I stopped.
"Let's stop this."
"Stop what?"
"Everything"
"Everything?"
He look so frustrated, sige lang ma-stress ka lang sa akin.
"You know what I mean, Gabriella."
"Stop calling me by my name." you used to call me baby, now you're calling me by my name...
"What do you want me to call you though?"
"Baby!"
"What!?" Nilagay niya ang dalawang kamay niya sa likod ng ulo niya saka tumalikod sa akin.
Pasasakitin ko ang ulo mo dahil alam kong in less than 10 minutes dudurugin mo ang puso ko.
"Gab----"
"I said stop calli---"
"Putang ina!" He said in his frustrated voice, I raised my eyebrows as if hindi ako naapektuhan sa pagmumura niya dahil hindi naman talaga.
Another silence between us.
"Let's stop, We're too young for this."
and that line broke my heart into pieces.
"Too young? Fuck Ethan! I'm 22 you're 24! anong kabullshitan ang sinasabi mo? Kumpleto na nga lahat ng buhok mo sa katawan tas sasabihin mo sa akin, too young?" Ako naman ang nafrustrate sa mga sinasabi niya, anong klaseng kalokohan 'to?
"Not because we are in our 20s means we're ready for things like this. Kakagraduate mo lang, kakasimula lang din ng career ko we still need time for ourselves."
