Sean's pov

I grow nervous as Jazzy and Effie leave the room. Looking at pops as he lay in the bed, he had a hard set on his face. He had more age to him than last time I seen him. He used to look so care free and fun but now he looks tired.

"Its nice to see you pops." I say trying to lighten the mood. "Sit down boy." He said his voice deep with anger and disappointed. Flinching as this reminded me of the scene in Lion King where Mufasa scolded Simba.

Taking a seat beside him bowing my my head. "I ought to slap the shit out of you boy. Hurting my baby like you did." Pops said and I nodded. "What were you thinking boy? Effie is a good woman as her mama and I taught her to be." Pops said.

"I don't know Pops. I was just hurt when I seen the pictures. My ex brought me the pictures and I went off of the first emotion I had felt." I explained to him. He slapped me upside the head making me frown. "Sean have some damn sense. Effie didn't cheat since you guys were in highschool. Why would she cheat then? Use your head boy." Pops said yelling at me before he started coughing.

"I know. I was stupid and so wrapped up in my emotions I threw away the one person that loved me and balanced me out." I sigh holding my head in my hands. I could feel Pops glaring holes into my head. "She's strong though like her mother perhaps too strong. You know Effie she doesn't show her emotions not to anybody. Thats partly her mama's fault. God knows, that woman was strong as a ox." Pops chuckled.

And I smile warmly, "How did she die?" I ask. "Breast cancer. She didn't go down without a fight but she got tired." Pops said. "I'm so-sorry I-I m-missed the funeral." I say sniffling.   "Don't apologize to me. Apologize to Effie. She's hurting and hurting badly. That's my daughter I see how hurt she is. It's all in those eyes of hers." Pops says.

"I promise to do right by her this time and I mean it. I won't stop trying to win her over." I said to him. "I know you won't. Now give me a hug boy." Pops chuckled opening his arms. Smiling I get up hugging him.

"I'll definetly be visiting you more. But I need to go, I have to take Tiger to get some food." I say as I pull away. "Okay but don't be a stranger no more Sean." Pops said before I left his room. Walking out the building, I go to my car seeing Effie huddled up in the passenger seat. Frowning I get in the car looking over at her.

"So where do you want to go to get something to eat?" I asked. "I just want a grilled chicken salad." She mumbled and I nodded. "Zaxby's it is then." I say as I leave the clinic parking lot. Glancing over at Effie she was looking out the window with a cold gaze.

"I'll respect that you don't want to go in to detail but did something?" I asked as I pulled into the Zaxby's drive through. "I just had a fight with Jazzy that's all." Effie muttered and I nodded. Getting up to the intercom, I rattle off our order. Glancing st Effie she still looked out the window reachimg over I take her hand in mind. "It'll be alright Tiger. Siblings fight its normal." I say trying to comfort her.

She grumbled. Pulling up to the window I pay waiting to move to the next window. "I um I never thanked you for being here while I recovered. Even though you could be doing better things, so yeah." Effie said her cheek caving in from her biting it a sign she was slightly embarassed.

"Its no problem. I want to be here. Stock market isn't going anywhere." I smiled before pulling up to the window. "Here you go...well hot damn." The cashier said as she paused handing me the food. She leaned on the window her cleavage showing threw her shirt. I couldn't

Feeling Effie snatch her hand from me, frowning I look over at her as she crossed her arms. "Can I just get my food please?" I say. "Mmhm you could eat me as long as you please sexy." She said licking her lips.

"Sorry but I already have a woman. Now my food." I say. "Well if you are ever free. Call me ask for Margret." she pouted before handing the food over. Driving off I head to the clinic, the drive was incredibly tense and awkward. Parking in front of the clinic I saw Effie move to open the doors. "Talk to me Effie. What's wrong?" I asked. "Nothing. I'm just peachy." She grit out before unlocking her door manually and lepaving hobbling inside the clinic.

Rolling my eyes at her stubborness, I park the the car in the vistor parking before grabbing the food and going inside. Walking into the room I see Effie sitting on the bed watching TV. "Here's your salad Tiger." I say handing it to her.

She took it silently eating it. Eating my own food, I nod approvingly. It was silent as we ate making me sigh in frustration. "What's wrong Effie. C'mon talk to me beautiful." I say and she scoffs.

"Go tell that to the Maggie." Effie said and I couldn't help but smile. "Tiger your mad over that. I was not interested in that woman." I chuckle but she still was silent. Rolling my eyes, I get up moving to stand over her.

"You know you the only woman for me Tiger." I say and she glares.  "Do I?" Effie says and I lean down looking at her plump lips but I moved to her forehead. Even though it was only to the foreheadI enjoyed it. "Of course you do." I smiled and I'm sure is she was light her cheeks would be flushed.

"Shut up." She said turning away from me. I chuckled before returning to my seat. "I just want you to know no matter who flirts with me you are the only one that can deal with me." I said to her honestly.
