"What the fuck is the press talking about to Stewart? Engaged!?" I yell as we enter the office. "What? You're a handsome man and a beautiful girl such as my daughter would make a good pair. We could merge our companies as one." Stewart says happily with a smile.

"You would sacrifice your daughters happiness to merge companies." I say crossing my arms. "Yes. Cindy knows whats best for the company is best for everyone." Stewart said looking pointedly at his daughter.

"I'll let that slide but what makes you think I'll agree to your plot." I say to him. "Your father wrote a contract saying once you the stock starts plummeting you would marry Cindy here." Stewart said. "Was my signature on this contract?" I ask. "Well no." He said.

"Then I am not liable to go through with this." I said motioning my hand between me and his daughter who was strangely quiet. "Your father though you would say that so he informed me that he supplied the money for this little cooperation here." Stewart smirked. "No he didn't." I say.

"Not directly no but I did some digging of my own and your father owns the bank that loaned you the cash. Then I found out how your father has been commiting fraud and bouncing checks here and there. So I got him to agree to this." He smirked.

I chuckled as I held out my hand. "So we have a deal then?" He asked. "No way in hell. But I respect a person that can bribe a person like my father." I say smirking lightly as I pull my hand back.

"But then I found out something particularly interesting." Stewart said. "Which is?" I ask.

"You were previously married. And your parents ruined your marriage since she wasn't the correct girl. " Stewart said. "Get to the point." I said. "I want to buy your company from under you. In return you can have my lovely daughter as compensation. She fits all their requirements. She is well behaved, we'll do anything to please. She's the perfect wife." Stewart smirks.

"Why should I give into you?" I say
"You must not now boy. But I am a very powerful man. A few calls and your little company is poof. Bye bye." He says blowing into his hand like smoke was going to come out.

"Are you threatening me Stewart? You want my company so bad, you realize I have no ise to merge business with small fry. I can buy you out an sell you a higher price. Do you want to go their with me boy?" I say to him raising a eyebrow.

"Well boy, even in this large pond you are not the biggest fish. And guess what I know the big fish personally." Stewart said. "Game on old man. Get your daughter and get out." I growl out at him as I motion my hand to the door.

He smirked as he got up with his daughter and left my office. "You'll be hearing from me." He said dismissively.

Grumbling to myself, I rub my forehead as I get out a bottle of Burbon and a glass from my deak. Pouring my drink, I grumble as I sit back sipping on the liquor.

Getting to work, I turn on my computer notifications of companies that are up for sale. Making a call, I tap my pen against the desk before someone picks up.

"Hello this is Silverberg Contracting. Contracting since 1903, this is Wanda speaking." The receptionists said. "Hello I'm Sean Wylder I want a meeting with Mr. Silverberg to discuss buying the company." I said.

"I'll transfer you to him." She said. Hearing a small beep in the background I heat a throat being cleared before the gruff "Silverberg."

"Hello I'm Sean Wylder. Mr. Silverberg I would like to buy your company." I say to him. "Why? We are doing pretty good in business." He said. "No disrespect but you aren't. No one is hiring your teams anymore. Their are reviews of terrible customer service, things not being fixed, the projects taking to long. Mr. Silverberg you are barely breaking even. I just want to change things a little." I said to him.

"You do realize this is a family business." He retorts. "Yes but sometimes family doesn't get the job done. According the the Dow Jones your stock has plummeted down to a negative 7." I say and I could hear him banging on the desk.

"$900,000. Thats my asking price." He said with a disgruntled sigh. "$850,000. Your price is a little steep." I negotiate. "$875,000 and you have a deal." Mr. Silverberg said. "Deal. You'll be recieving a check soon." I say before hanging up.

Hearing my phone ring, I answer. "This is Sean Wylder." I say. "Are you actually engaged to someone you ass?!" I hear Effie say and it sounds like she's crying. "No baby. Lets Facetime and I'll explain." I say and immeadiately we were facetiming.

She had tears in her eyes but they refused to fall as she had a emotionless face. She looked so heartbroken.

"That bastard Brent Stewart came in today saying I should marry his daughter. He made it clear that he just wanted my company. But he has something on my father. He wants me to marry his daughter. But I'm not. That man is a slippery snake. But its not true baby." I say to her desperate for her to believe me.

She glared at me for a little as I stared at her. Before she sighed to herself. "Sorry for jumping to conclusions." She said. "Its alright Effie. I understand. Now what have you been up to." I say smiling at her. "I just got out of that meeting I told them I'm taking a vacation." Effie says.

"Good so where do you think you heading. I know somewhere you've never been but in specific area. Germany, Tokyo, the Netherlands?" I ask.

"You're planning to go with me aren't you?" Effie chuckled and I smiled. "Yep. I want Effie time." I say to her laughing. "Still so childish." Effie said rolling her eyes. "But where are you going Tiger?" I ask her. Effie laughed before she typed something on her computer before she turmed back to me.

"What about Genoa, Italy?" She smiles lightly. "Perfect. Aye don't buy my plane ticket." I said and I heard tapling on the keyboard.

"Oops too bad already did." She smirked and I narrowed my eyes at her. "Well I have accomadations. No arguing." I say moving my dingers across my lips in a zipping up motion.
"Your lucky you aren't by me. I would hit you." She grumbled. "So violent Tiger." I pout. "Oh shut up." She grumbled.

I love this girl so fucking much.
