Sean's pov

I was worried like incessantly worried. As soon as Effie blacked out I rushed her to the hospital as fast as I could. I was worried for her. She couldn't talk, her legs buckled, she blacked out.

Getting to the hospital I carry her inside, "I need care for my wife right now!" I yell out and almost immeadiately a gourney was in front of me. Setting her down carressing her face. "Sir I need you to answer a few questions." A nurse said as she came up to me.

"Her name is Effie Young. She is 30. She blacked out and her knees buckled under her. She kept holding her chest like it was hurting." I explain to her. "Thank you sir. Please sit in the waiting room." The nurse said. Taking a seat in the waiting room I bounce my knee and bite my nails as I wait.

God, don't take Effie away. Please don't take her away.

I sat in a bent over position as I prayed to God. "Sir." I hear making me look up seeing the nurse. "Yes." I say standing up. "She is okay. She's stable but we did loose her for 3 minutes on the table but she is stable." The nurse said and I froze. She died for 3 minutes. 3 fucking minutes.

"Umm..can I go see her?" I say. "Yes follow me." The nurse said and I followed her. Going down the hallway, I go inside the room that nurse stopped at.

Seeing Effie hooked up with a IV drip, her eyes closed, the steady beep of the heart monitor. Taking a seat beside her I hold her hand placing a kiss on it.

"Thank God Effie. Keep fighting Effie. You still have a lot to fight for." I whispered to her. "I still love you Effie. Even though you're cold to me." I said to her kissing her hand. Resting my head on the bed, I look at her as I hold her hand. "You were always so beautiful to me." I sigh as I brush her hair out her face.

Hearing a phone buzzing, I get up following the sound. Pulling her phone out her pocket, I see the called ID of Cathy. Answering it, I can hear music, "Effie dear are you okay?" A motherly voice said.

"Who is this?" I said. "I'm the manager of Effie's lounge. Is she there, I need to speak to her?" The woman said. Looking at Effie, she usually doesn't let people call her by her first name so this lady must be special.

"Come to Saint Justice Hospital. Tell the nurse your looking for Effie." I say to her as I hold Effie's hand. "Okay." She said before hanging up. Going through her contacts I call her sister but it goes straight to voicemail.

I try multiple time but it goes to voicemail each time. I sigh as I put her phone away. "I tried to gett your sister here but she isn't picking up." I say to her. Holding her hand to my forehead I bow my head.

"W-whud?"Came the slured speech making me look up seeing Effie awake but the left side of her face drooped. Hitting the call button, I sigh when she snatches her hand away from me. Hearing the door open I see the doctor coming in making me settle back in the chair.

"Ms. Young I'm Dr. Franco. You gave us quite a scare. You died for 3 minutes your lucky to be alive. You had a stroke and from the cat scan we gave you. It was from stress. So half your face is in a state of paralysis. But that can be fixed. Try to squeeze my hand" Dr. Franco said as he grabbed her left hand. Looking at her I see her eyeing her left hand, expecting her fingers to close around his but nothing happens and tear prick her eyes.

"Okay. Try to wiggle the left leg." The doctor said. Effie eyed her leg but there wasn't any movement making tears falls. "We'll get you physical therapy to get you back walking. I'll get a nurse to start a IV to get your face back to how it was. Physical therapy will start tomorrow." Dr. Franco said to her but Effie seemed in her own world.

"I'll pay for it Doctor. Don't worry." I say to him. He nodds looking worriedly at Effie before leaving before a light skin older lady burst through the door.

"Oh Effie. You poor sweet thing." She said going up on the other side of Effie. "Are you Cathy?" I asked her. "Yes I run Effie's lounge. And you are?" She said. "I'm Sean Wylder." I say smiling and she nodds looking back at Effie who was fast asleep.

"I told her not to push herself. Hard headed girl." Cathy sighed brushing Effie's hair. "What do you mean?" I asked her.

"She came one night to the lounge and she broke down. She told me all her troubles and all her worries. She expressed to me that she felt weighed down. She didn't take my advice and she landed here." Cathy explained. "This is my fault. I keep harassing her knowing she's stressed." I grumble as I look at Effie.

"No it isn't. Effie told me about you and during that conversation her eyes lit up like a Christmas tree. She might come off as cold and harsh but she has a huge heart. One that she is protecting tooth and nail. She doesn't want to admit it but Effie still has feeling for you they're just locked away." Cathy said to me. I felt a smile grace my lips at the new found information.

"But you're going to have to work at it. Its going to be challenging, its going to be tiring, you're going to grow impatiejt with her. But it'll be worth all of it. She's a bit hardheaded but she cares for you." Cathy said. "Thank you Ms. Cathy. For letting me know this. Would you like to stay with her?" I asked. "No I'm sure Effie would want to be at work so I'll come by tomorrow during visiting hours. But how bad is it?" Cathy said.

"Her left side is paralysed. Her face is droopy. But doctors say physical therapy and some medications can help it." I say to her. "Oh Lordy. How did she take it?" She asked.

"Not to well, she spaced out then she fell asleep." I say. "Poor thing. Well I'll come by tomorrow. Keep her company." Cathy said. ""Definitely." I said as I grabbed Effie's hand. She smiled before she walked out the room.

"I'm not leaving anytime soon so you better get used to it Tiger.." I say as I close my eyes going to sleep.
