Ill Follow You

Micah-Part 5

"Avery," I said peeking out of the closet with big eyes. I had spent the better part of the afternoon hanging up and folding the new clothes Avery and her Beta's had bought me today. I felt ridiculous when I looked at everything that I now called mine, and extremely grateful.

"Yes my love?" Avery asked setting her laptop to the side and turning to look at me giving me her full attention,

"When am I going to meet the rest of the pack?" I asked.

"I don't know" she said in surprise. "I hadn't thought about it honestly. I wanted to wait until you were ready."

"What is ready?" I asked walking out to sit next to her with a furrowed eyebrow,

"I hadn't thought about that either" she said after a second "I just don't want you to feel rushed into meeting everyone." she said with a sigh. "Being Luna is a big responsibility."

"Exactly" I said with a shrug "What kind of Luna would I be if I shirk my responsibilities when I am perfectly capable of completing them."

"Where is this coming from?" she asked with squinted eyes "this bout of confidence?"

"It's not confidence so much as gratitude." I said with a shrug "I want to meet the pack that has blessed me with my mate and my new life." I said looking around me. She looked at me for a few long seconds before squinting her eyes in thought.

"I would love to introduce you to the pack, and I know they would be excited to meet you." she said "but I don't want you to feel like you have to introduce yourself before you're ready."

"Do they even know that I'm here?" I asked with raised eyebrows. "You are always with me, and I'm not complaining, but I'm sure you have responsibilities that you aren't completing."

"I'm completing them" she said pointing at her laptop with a shrug "Just differently than I normally do."

"I'm ready," I said with a nod before walking back to the closet.

"Well tonight's town hall, we have them the 2nd friday of every month; we talk about important pack information, I was just going to have Tyler and Sue run it." she said with a shrug "everyone is required to be there so it would be the perfect time to introduce you."

"Tonight it is." I said with a grin.

Guys I'm running the meeting tonight I said linking Sue and Tyler as I pulled up the notes for the town hall.

What about Micah Sue asked

She wants to be introduced to the pack I said with a grin she says she's ready to start her Luna responsibilities.

That's my girl! Tyler said in excitement.

Pretty sure she's my girl Tyler I said rolling my eyes.

"What time is the meeting?" Micah asked a few minutes later once she finished hanging up all of her new clothes.

"In about an hour." I said setting my laptop to the side "I figure I will introduce you first otherwise everyone is going to spend the whole meeting wondering who the strange new wolf I keep looking at is."

"Maybe I should not come to the meeting then" she said with a grin "If you're just going to stare at me the whole time."

"Fine, I'll pay attention to everyone else" I said with a dramatic sigh "let's finish the movie before the meeting." I said pulling her against me and grabbing the remote. We just barely had time to finish the film before we had to run downstairs where we could here the pack gathered in the meeting hall. "There is a little makeshift stage at the front so everyone can see the person speaking, I'm going to run up there and start the meeting. You stay here until I call you?" Before she left for the stage she looked at me with serious eyes "Do you mind if I give them a rundown of your story, I think it will help them understand who you are."

"Sounds good" I said as she ran to the front of the room. I smiled as the pack cheered as she stood up on the stage making her laugh as she waved them off.

"Welcome to town hall everyone and thank you for being here, first I want to apologize for disappearing the last couple of weeks but I think the reason is a pretty good one." she said with a smile "I met someone recently and her story is complex. I won't tell you too much because I believe that it is hers to tell when she is ready to tell it, but what I will share is that she has been through a lot. She comes from Blood Diamond Pack" she smiled as everyone gasped in surprise "I'm sure with those simple words, you can imagine what she has been through. Everyone, I want you to meet my mate and your Luna Micah." she held her arm out to me smiling as the pack broke out into applause and cheers.
