New Beginnings

Right after I pull into the parking lot and get out of my car, my phone buzzes with a text from Luke.
I respond telling him I went to the mall for some things and he tells me he will head home because his mom called and needed help with something. I didn't argue, as that would make it easier to transform myself.

Taking a deep breath I walk into the first store in sight. There were plenty of dark grunge clothes I would normally buy, but this time I pass by and don't look back. I successfully find the dresses and cardigans in a matter of minutes. Picking a selection of them out in my size, I continue to wander in search of a dressing room.

Upon finally reaching my destination, I strip down and take the first dress of the hanger. It's white with blue cross hatching patterns all over. I'll admit it's pretty. Checking in the mirror I take in the details. The bottom stops just about an inch above my knees, and the shape outlines my body beautifully.

I surprisingly feel...pretty.

The next dress was plain pink and almost the exact same shape. I also bought a blue, tan, and white cardigan as well as one black lace skirt.

In the next store, Claire's, I looked around for some accessories. I ended up buying a pack of bows for my hair and headbands with bright nail polish and cute necklaces to wear as well.

Even though I didn't plan on buying shoes, I couldn't help but notice a pair of sandals to die for. I genuinely really thought they were cute. They were pink and black and had the cutest little buckles on the sides.

Being satisfied with my new wardrobe additions, I quickly ran out to my car and sped home to tidy that place up.

I didn't see the point in wearing a dress since half the day was already gone, so I changed into a pair of white jeans and my new blue cardigan with a striped camisole underneath.

Then I vacuumed and picked up trash. After all the cleaning was finished I painted my nails hot pink. It was going to take a while to get used to these new styles.

But Luke was most definitely worth it.

While I cooked some chicken for dinner later that night my doorbell rang however. I wasn't expecting any visitors tonight so it took me by complete surprise when I opened my door to see the curly blonde boy with his nerdy glasses and bandana standing outside.

He was soaked from the rain and looked somewhat nervous.

"Ashton?! Come inside come on!" I ushered him inside my entrance and he didn't say a word. Once he took off his shoes and took a deep breath we finally made eye contact again.

"Hey Scarlett, I know this is sort of random and might not be the best time-"

"Ashton you're always welcome here you know that." He smiled and embraced me into a warm hug.

Ashton was my brother's best friend growing up. Whenever my brother Shawn ditched their group to stay with me, Ashton was always the one who understood. When Shawn passed, Ash was the one to stay by my side when I needed his support. He slowly became my best friend. Then he moved to London for a few years and we lost contact. I guess he's back now though.

"How's it been? Make yourself comfortable I'm just making some chicken if you want some."

"Yeah I'd love to stay for a meal. I just got back from London a few hours ago. I dropped off my bags at home and came here to visit you. How have you been?"

"Um, I'm doing better. I actually have decided to change my crappy lifestyle earlier today and bought some new clothes. I also sort of have a boy...." The end of the phrase is in a whisper but he still hears it.

"You got a boyfriend?! What's his name? What does he look like?"

"Slow down. We aren't officially dating, just very close. His name is Luke." For the next half an our Ashton and I catch up on everything. I explain how I met Luke, and what's been happening the past few days. He tells me he got a girlfriend and they're moving back here, which is why he just flew in. It felt amazing to hang out with your best friend again.

"I had a really nice time seeing you Scarlett. I'm glad you're doing better since the last time we talked." He smiles sweetly and hugs me once more. "Oh and here's my number. Text me and maybe sometime we can go on a double date." I laugh and walk him out politely.

One day over.
I could get used to this.

A/N- yayy I incorporated another band member! Okay so I really hope you enjoy this! Love ya'll!
