"Heyyyy I have to show you something want to come over?" I chimed in the phone.
"Sure I'll be over soon." Luke hung up and just like he said, knocked on my door not long after.
I opened up and his face automatically went blank.
"Am I at the right house?" He joked, seeing my blonde curls held back by a white bow and me wearing a skirt and crop tee.
"Nope it's still me Scarlett!" I giggled and he ran over and twirled me around until he was dizzy.
"What happened?" Luke's jaw remained dropped as he took a seat at the bar stool.
"I'm trying to change my habits. For you." He smiled widely and pecked my nose lightly.
"Look Luke I have to talk to you about something." I sat down beside him.
"I know we aren't officially a couple but I was wondering if you wanted to go on a double date tonight with my friend Ashton and his girlfriend."
"Of course I would!" Luke hugged me tightly and then proceeded on with his comments about my sudden change.

A few hours later I was sitting on the same bar stool as earlier, waiting for Luke to pick me up. Ashton and his girlfriend said we could meet up tonight so Luke went home to get ready. I on the other hand, stayed and changed also. Now I'm wearing a tight red cocktail dress. I have black pumps on and bright red lips. My hair is straightened and I have a black bow in it also. The doorbell rings so I grab my pocket book and quickly join Luke outside.
"You look stunning, as usual," he kindly compliments and I giggle slightly. The whole ride to the restaurant Luke discusses how excited he is to meet my friend.
We pull into the parking lot not long after and enter the restaurant. Ashton greets us right away at the door. A short girl with blonde hair and lilac tips stays by his side the whole time.
"Scarlett, Luke, this is my girlfriend Rosalie." I smile warmly at the girl. She's really pretty and appears super nice as well. Her petite body is covered by a peachy high-low dress and black heels. Her green eyes pop out perfectly because of her makeup. Rosalie makes me feel a little insecure about myself. But I'm so happy for Ashton because I can tell he loves her by the way he looks at her.
We are escorted to a booth by our waitress.
"Can I get you all something to drink?" She asks."I'll take a coke," Ashton starts and looks to his partner for her request. She mumbles something shyly and blushes before he answers again, "and she will have some sweetened iced tea."
The waitress nods and turns to Luke and I.
"I'll have a Lager please." Luke speaks up first and shocks me by ordering the alcohol."Waters fine for me," I smile and watch as the lady strides away.
"Wow a beer, that's something different." I poke fun at him and he just laughs.
"So Scarlett I've heard so many great things about you." The lilac haired girl says.
"Oh have you?" I raise my eyebrows and glance at Ash.
"Yeah actually! I hope we can become friends because you seem awesome."Looking back at her eyes, I nod in agreement.
"I'd like that a lot."For the next half an hour we talk about how Ashton and Rosalie met. We catch up on new things. Our food arrives and it is delicious. The night is perfect until she asks this one question.
"So how long have you and Luke been dating? You seem like the sweetest and most perfect couple!"
"Oh, um-" I try to explain but Luke cuts me off with a completely shocking response.
"About 5 months now. Yeah Scarlett and I met and instantly knew it was love at first sight." He leans in to my ear and whispers, "play along."
I nearly choke at this. Somehow, I wipe a smile on and Ashton returns it.
I entwine my hand in Luke's and peck his cheek.
"Luke is the best thing that's ever happened to me."
We continue eating and pay for the bill.
"Alright well Rosalie and I have to work on some stuff at home now. It was great seeing you both." Ashton hugs me tightly and shakes Luke's hand before rushing out with his girlfriend close behind.
Now it's time for us to talk.
