CHAPTER 7

ANNIE POV

Gosh, when I step out from the plane, Jakarta is hot. But i like the environment. The people is friendly, kind,  I notice that they have warm smile. Mia also like our journey here.
"Mom, thank for brings me here, I love here immediately." She throw her jacket on the bed.
Our hotel cozy, and located in the middle of the city.
"Mia, I want to take a nap ... stay here, if you hungry call the hotel services okay. Later we'll go dinner and explore," I yawn slowly my eyes closed.

When I wake up, it already noon. I open my suitcase. I pull out my t shirt and jeans, get shower. I'm looking Mia, she's watching movies.

"Get ready Mia, why don't we explore this city?" I tied my sneaker.

"I'll be in a minutes Mom" She's shout back at me

I sit in the couch while waiting her. I see my phone but no message at all. "I'm done mom" Mia says. She wear jacket and skirt. I grab my purse, locked our room. Then we take elevator. I hold her hand. We look like teenager, but of course she's still teenager.

We like chinese food a lot, and we make decision to try one place that cool according to the internet. In the lobby, I tell Mia to sit in the couch while I order taxi. Suddenly, someone tap my shoulder. I look back to see, I'm freezing, my mind blank, my heart beat faster. It's Arthur. What the hell he doing here ?

"Why do you leave me ? He sound mads

"I-I.. "

"Arthur, what are you doing here ? business meeting ? what a coincidence ..." Mia hug him and seems happy.

"Yes Mia, appearantly I have an unsolving business here" while looking at me with an unreadable gaze.

"Don't mind us, we just want going dinner" abruptly he take my hand and look at Mia "No. come on dinner with me. I'll take you to my place." He said sternly. Better be following him, I don't want make drama in front of Mia. Nodded and follow him. I notice along the way to his car, he holding my hand.

When the car come, he open the passenger door, Mia get in, then me. Arthur sit next to me. I take a deep breath, just staring out the window, pretending admiring the view outside. Mia seems really happy. I know she's missing a whole family. When Anthony still alive, He rarely took us to vacation. Even just only to took us out, I can count with my hand. Maybe Mia find Arthur can be her figure of her dreams dad. She's seem comfortable with Arthur. Arthur becoming his favourite person. I can see it by how Mia treat Arthur.

"Mom, we're up" Mia surprised me. I sigh, daydreaming again. I look at the house. Its not kind of mansion, It just simple house, warm, there is a garden, white paint, looks homey. We enter the house, Me and Mia sit in the couch.

"Good evening ladies, what can I get you ?" a man voice startled me.

Mia smile "I want coke, can I ?,

"Mia, don't be rude" I snap at her. When Mia get attached with a person, she's always like this.

"No, tell Pierre everything that you need Mia, Oh Pierre this is Annie and Mia" Arthur says sternly

Pierre just nodded then back to the kitchen. "Can I go to the kitchen pleaseee " She use her puppy eyes to Arthur.

"Mia, explore this house with Pierre, you can do what you want here. Consider it as your house"

Mia jumping and hug Arthur " thank you, thank you" then she run, dissapear.

Now Mia gone and only me with Arthur here. I don't know how to start the conversation with him. After everything happened, I just don't know what to think. When I think runaway from him will solving my problem. But here we are, I looking at the television pretending watch the show, but my mind race everywhere.

"Annie, why you have to runaway from me ? why don't you talk to me, I thought you trust me? " Arthur sit next to me.

My body tense, I take a deep breath my hand shaking "Arthur, I told you before in my letter. I don't want to be a burden, actually I'm shocked. When a women called me and told that she's your fiance, I know I just your friend. But heard she said it, I know she's loves you, and I might do the same things like her, you know she's marking her territory, she's protecting what she's have. I understand that, and I don't complain. That's way I left, besides Mia got summer break, its been a while since Mia and I never take vacation. You know, I can see Mia get close to you. She found a dad figure on you. I'm scared, if she's getting closer to you, then you got married. I just can't see her lost. She's never that closed with Anthony, he's to busy when he alived."

Suddenly, Arthur take my hand, stroke my hair, and put my head on his chest. "Annie, I know I just meet you for a moment, I never fell like this, It's new to me, you know back before there's no one get my attention.It might fast, but I want to tell you that the moment I saw you, looking into your eyes, you caught me. I like you, when I see you and Mia, I want to protect both of you. When you gave me those letter, I felt can't breath, like I'm loosing you, that's why I'm chasing you here. I want to be with you, spoiled you and Mia."

I was astonished "why me ?"

"Both of you see me as Arthur, Not Arthur who the billionaire, the CEO."

My god, I'm speechless, that make sense now, why that women called, how he can find me, and that damn pen when we first met. I can't process everything, my mind blank, I don't know what to think. He like me, Arthur the CEO like me, I just can't believe it.

He kiss the top of my head "Never leave me like this again, you don't know how much you mean to me, when there's trouble you should told me, so we can solve the problem not just runaway. The women who called you is Monica, she's not my fiance. She wish to be my fiance, she chasing me because of my money. Only you who I want. I'm willing to do anything to you."

My eyes teary, hearing his confession, I like him too but I'm just scared with everything plus now I know he's billionaire, can I stand. I just keep silent while my head still in his chest. I can hear his beat slowly. I hope time stopped like this at the moment, I love my head in his chest. I feel protected, pleasant, warm.

"Stay here with me okay " He kiss my cheek still stroking my hair.

"But our belonging still in the hotel" I pouted.

He laugh "don't worry baby, my people will take it"

"Mom, this place is awsome. You know there's a pool at the backyard, and you know Pierre just make me a delicious chinese food" she giggle and sit in the middle of me and Arthur. Arthur stared at me and I just smile. It feels like we are happy family.

" Mia, have you look your room darling? Its upstairs ask Pierre to show you" Arthur says to Mia

Her eyes sparkled "I can stay here? really mom? I want here. I don't want to going back to the hotel, I want here with you and Arthur" she's beg.

"Go, find Pierre then darling" I pointing to the kitchen and she's run away laughing happily.

" So, where's I'm going to sleep Mister"  I looking at him seductively.

"Baby, I don't want to leave you even for one night. Why don't we look our room? he grab my hand then take my to our room. Our room, I love how it sound. I know deep inside my heart I already like him, maybe I should let my heart free, don't think much about everything. We walk hand in hand to our room.

He open the door, its hugh, the paint is cream,  I see a king size bed, a closet and near there a bathroom. I sit in the bed

"You can change your shirt, wear my shirt,  go shower and I'll wait here" he take from the closet and give it to me. I get into the bathroom, found a spare of toothbrush, and take a bath.

I wear his shirt, its smells like him. Since I smaller than him, I can't use his pants, its to big. His tshirt  reach my thigh. I get out the bedroom then looking at him. He stared at me, he's eyes full of lust, I bow my head nervously.

He come near to me, tuck my hair behind my ear then whisper "My shirt looking good in you"

I just smile nervously then get in the bed, when my head reach the pillow, I feel sleepy and asleep right away.
