CHAPTER 13

ANNIE POV

We back to our home, finally ... I missed Mia so much. When we arrived, Mia running to us, and hug me "So mum, do you accept dad ?" she said in a curious tone. I looked at Arthur raise my eyebrow, "hmm, so I'm the only one who didn't know about how you set up that proposed ?"

He chuckled and hug me then kiss the top of my head "I have to asked my lovely daughter for her permission to married her lovely mom isn't?" and Mia giggled. I hugh both of them, and then we walking inside the house.

Even now I am Arthur fiance, I don't want to take advantages because he is a billionaire. I'm not gold digger, until now I still feel like getting used to his lifestyle. But I'm happy, Arthur respected me. Although now, he more protective and more dominant. He want me to quit from my job in the library. And because of that sometimes we argued but of course we'll make it up in the bed at night.

He even sent a bodyguard for me and Mia without notice. When I asked him, he only said that he has a lot of enemy. Just because I don't want to make him more pissed, I'll let him. 

Its friday night, and I waiting him at home, we're supposed to dinner with Mia tonight. But today I just feel something bad will happened. Maybe it just my bad feeling I thought. I sent him a messages asking him what time he will be back at home, but no response from him.

I called his office but Billy told me that Arthur already leave at 5 pm. I started worry, I'm scared something happen to him. I sit in the living room waiting for him, but no sign he come. Reaching my phone, but nothing appear in my phone.

When almost 1 hours waiting for him, suddenly my phone ringing

"Good night is this Mrs Edison ? we're from Red Cross Hospital. We want to inform you that Mr Arthur knight got accident, now he is on the ER room" the women speaking

I'm shocking, my mind blank, I can't say anything, I started crying, Mia looking and me then asking me "What's wrong mom ?"

I sobbed "Darling, your dad got accident"

Mia terribly sad and crying too "No mommy, where is dad now mom"

I hugh Mia and persuade her to her room, then she up to her bed still crying. I soothing her, tell her that everything is going to be okay. I know she scared of loosing Arthur. She already loosing his Dad Anthony, and now she's afraid Arthur will leaving her too. When she calm, and turn to sleep. I'm going back to kitchen find Pierre and told him everything, I need him to watching Mia.

"Mam, I will watching Mia, Don't worry, go and find Mr Knight. He needs you now. Just inform me when you need some thing. And tell me he's news. Believe me, he will be alright." Pierre  assured me

After thanking him, I told driver to take me to the hospital quickly. When we reached hospital, I run inside ER and asking the nurse whose passing by near me "Do you know where is Mr Arthur Knight is ?

The nurse looking at me smile and said " And you are ?"

"His fiance" I crying.

She told me to sit in the chair, while she's finding the doctor. Soon after that I see not very old doctor come with her, "Are you Mr Knight fiance ?"

I nodded "Mr Knight got accident, he's car was hit by a truck. He loosing a lot of his blood. Now to prevent of it, we have to take him to operating room. Can you fill the document, And also, he need transfusion blood rhesus B negative, can you find it quickly ?"

Without thinking, I said to him "let me do it, I'm b negative"

He  nodded his head, and tell the nurse to take me to prepare for blood transfusion. First, the nurse take me to the admission to fill Arthur document, then take me to a room to prepared for blood transfusion.  When its done, I'm waiting him in front of operating room. Billy came not so long after that, we sit together waiting for Arthur.

"Mam, I'm sorry I not keeping up Sir Knight." while lowering his head. I know he feel sad, useless, seeing his boss like this.

I pat his shoulder, "Its okay, don't blame your self. Its not your fault. He was just in the wrong place and time" I assured him. I have to stay stronger, I can't feel weak now. Especially a moment like this.

The light red turn into green, both of us stand watching the doctor out from the operating room.

He smile "Everything is fine. Mr Knight survived from the loss of his blood, thanks to you because your blood helping him. He will be transferred in private room. You can wait him there"

I put my hand in my face, I cry harder. Thanks god he alive, I don't know what will I do if something happened to him. Our relationship is just started, Mia just felt like having a father. Billy and I walking to the private room, waiting for Arthur. Inside room I called Pierre told him everything, he sound sad and relieved, he promise me that he will tell Mia, as soon as she wakes up.

I see Arthur in unconscious, in his hand was a dripping tube, there is an exhalation tube, bandaged on his head. I hold his hand, kissing his hand "wake up baby, I love you so much, stay stronger, me and Mia need you so much" I crying harder.

Its been two days and he hasn't shown his conscious. I'm asking the doctor, the doctor explained to me that its normal, we just have to wait. During his unconscious, I never leave him. I stayed beside him. Billy always come checking and bring me clothes to changed and food to eat.

Billy told me that the one who hit Arthur is an old men who apparently drunken driver. He died when taken to the hospital. I feeling so tired, exhausted, I thought maybe because I crying everyday. After changing my clothes in the hospital bathroom, I look at the basket that Billy give to me, there is sandwich, chinese food and some fruit. I wonder it might be Pierre who prepare it. I sit in the couch, while grab the chinese food, my favorite food, smell the flavour I felt nausea, dizzy. I lean to the couch. I closed my eyes then sleeping unconscious.
