Nick and I made it further down the street to his car. He was parked on the side of the road opposite an apartment building placed on the corner. Nick unlocked his car using what I normally call a car blipper. We hopped in and buckled our seatbelts in.

"So, what street?" Nick asked, plugging his keys into the ignition.

"Where Jackson and Prospect street hit, I live on that corner," I answered simply, readjusting my seatbelt to a more comfortable spot.

"Wow, you really don't live that far away.."

"Told ya."

Nick and I drove in silence for a while before he turned up the radio. This wasn't really the type of music I normally listen to but that's not saying I didn't hate it. It was actually pretty catchy..

I softened my gaze at the radio, paying attention to the lyrics. After not long I heard Nick mumbling along with the radio as well. I laughed quietly.

Nick began to slow down as he turned onto my street and parked the car opposite my house.

"This the place?" He asked, I nodded my head and unbuckled my seatbelt.

"I'll be quick. I said, shutting the door before crossing the street.

Unlocking the door, I saw Carter at the other end of the hall, peering around the corner. Once he saw It was me, he walked up, noticing Nick's car outside over my shoulder.

"Y/N? Whose car is that outside?" He asked, crossing his arms as his eyebrows furrowed.

I felt myself began to sweat under his intimidating stare. I knew that there was no reason as to why I should feel guilty for anything, but I couldn't help it. I cleared my throat and lowered my hands that were hovered in front of me.

"I-It's Nick's, I'm heading to his place, I j-just came to pick up my computer and mouse." I stuttered back, straightening my posture to show off my "confidence". Although Carter wasn't that scary I still felt mildly intimidated by him.

"Why are you going to his house?? Please don't tell me you're going to do what I'm thinking of...."

"Oh.."

"Uhh, s...sorry.." Carter apologies, I shook my head and placed my hand on his shoulder, letting out a sigh.

"It's fine, I get you're overprotective and stuff.." I mumbled, turned my head to the side to stare at the floor.

"Just be safe, okay?"

"I will, I will.." I laughed, leaning in to give Carter a hug. He hugged back.

"Alright, but seriously, I gotta go.." I said, pulling back, both hands on his shoulders.

Carter laughed out an okay as I took both my computer and wireless mouse from my desk.

I walked back to the door, Carter followed for a bit and stopped mid hallway.

"Bye Y/N! I love you!" Carter called out as I opened the door.

"Bye Carter..!" I laughed back.

I went to step out of the doorway.

"Don't forget to use protection!!"

"Oh my god WOULD YOU SHUT UP ABOUT THAT..?!!??!" I yelled back, Carter bursts into giggles and runs into the kitchen, I let out a chuckle as I closed the door.

After crossing the street and hopping back into Nick's car, he gave me a confused stare.

"What was all that yelling about?" He asked, one eyebrow-raising.

"My uh, my roommate wouldn't stop asking me questions.." I replied, laughing to myself.

"No kidding.." He laughed back as he started the car.

"ehehh.. Let's just go.." I replied, holding my laptop and mouse on my lap and stared out the window. Nick chuckled and began to drive.

I continued to stare out the window for the entire trip, the radio fading into the background. I only snapped out of my staring when the car stopped.

"Wait, why are we at your university?" I asked, taking off my seatbelt as my head faced him.

"I live in the dorms here." He replied, opening his door as I did the same.

"Oh, okay.."

"Were parked in the student housing at the moment. University lofts." Nick explained, pointing to the front doors.

"Cool," I stated as I followed Nick inside.

He gave me a little tour around the place but not too much as we had our own plans. He said he'd give me the full tour later. He headed up to his dorm room.

"My roommate is out at the moment so we should have the place to ourselves... To play, Minecraft.." He explained, shutting the door.

"Yeah, it's sound weird if you put it that way.." I mumbled, laughing to myself awkwardly as he unlocked the door.

Nick and I sat on the couch and chatted for a while as I redownloaded Minecraft onto my laptop. Nick had been talking about all the different plugins we could use and how he and his friends record a series called Minecraft Manhunt or something like that..

Honestly, I was completely new to all of these new Minecraft YouTubers and new updates, I haven't played in so long that I just assumed that the game's popularity had died. I guess now.

Suddenly mid-conversation, Nick's phone went off, letting out his basic apple ringtone.

"Give me a sec, I gotta take this," Nick explained as he held up a finger, I nodded to him as he smiled and left the room.

Perfect, I guess this gives me some time to take a look around. I also really need to piss so finding the bathroom would be amazing right now..
