It's the tenth time I've called Bakugo by the time I get back to Mina's. I hop out of the car, no police in sight.
I mosey through the front door, ducking under some tape. I immediately make my way to Mina's Mom's room. No one. The tv is still on, casting the eerie blue light onto the walls, it's one of those early morning telemarking channels. I turn the tv off and head for Grandma's room, Grandma snores only the bed, and I feel myself relax, the porcelain dolls, look at me disapprovingly from their high glass shelves. Grandma grunts and I hold shock still. That was not Grandma. I hold my breath, then slowly creep up to the bed, the occupant sounds more like it's growling then snoring now. I avoid the creaky floor board down at the end, and ever so lightly take the sheet in my two fingers.
Gray hair, wrinkled skin, hoodie, Shigoraki, in Mina's Grandma's bed. My entire body heats up with rage, but all I do is slowly creep back, and away.
I couldn't risk waking him up now, if he somehow got the better of me here then Eri could get hurt once the cops come. I had to keep moving either way, hopefully it'd only take an hour to get Mina out, I'd already wasted fifteen minutes of time. I slowly shut the door, then creep as fast as I can downstairs, only to be met with Greenie, Mina's pit bull. He grins at me, where he shows his teeth without growling then wiggles halfway up the stairs to me. "Hey buddy, I was worried the cops wouldn't like you." I breathe. He snorts and proceeds to slobber all over my hand. Suddenly I get an Idea, I hurry into Mina's room Greenie tight on my heels. I scuffle through some things then find what I was looking for, Bakugo's sock filled with rice. I dump the rice into the trash and hold the sock up to Greenie, his nose wasn't the best, but it could help me.
"Greenie, Greenie find." He wiggles, tongue hanging out the side of his mouth, "Greenie find Bakugo." He yips softly, picking up on my hushed whispers, then leads me to the back door. I open it for him, and he sniffs for a second, then makes a beeline for the fence, I bring out my phone light and follow him. He digs through a pile of sticks then pulls out one and starts hopping around. I sigh, then take the stick, it's wet, I drop it, then look at my hand, blood, mixed in is dark brown hair, and some blonde. I kneel down and dig through the branches, Greenie hops in with me and roots around for a second before pulling his head back, something in his mouth.  "Greenie," I warn, he wiggles, "Green Boy put it down." He stops wiggling, tail drooping, "Down," he pushes his mouth to the ground before opening it, I take a step towards him, and suddenly he's off zooming across the yard, I go and grab the object, Bakugo's phone, it still works, even though dog slobber and blood cover the screen.
"Nine Missed calls from Eijiro-Baby ⛏,"
Coulda swore  I called ten times but hey.  I stuff the  phone in my pocket, then head inside to grab Greenie's choke collar, he was always well minded when it came to the leash, but Mina always kept him on a choke collar to prompt other people the stay away from him. He was a lovable goofball, but he had a very important job. If anyone smells like weed, and gets close enough to Mina to grab even her shoulder. He's supposed to ravage their arm. I head back out, and put the collar on Greenie. He hops, excitedly.
"Let's go for a car ride boy."

"A boy and his dog huh? How sweet."
