Jace and Alec's party

Clary's POV

*knock knock knock*
"Yeah come in Izzy" a masculine voice calls from inside the dorm room,
"We're here!" Izzy calls as we walk in the door. The boys room is the same size as ours but they use their space differently, they have king single beds instead of doubles and drawers but no wardrobes, and certainly no vanity. they focus on making an entertaining area for parties with a couple couches and chairs around a coffee table filled with snack foods. The drinks are situated on top of the sets of drawers, and responsibly there is no alcohol. I am a wee bit surprised. "Who is this sexy thing, Izzy?" Izzy's blond brother says, much to my surprise,
"This, Jace, is Clary my new roommate" Izzy says back in a testing tone, "Alec do you wish to be polite and meet my new friend?",
"Oh, yeah sure, hello I'm Alec, Izzy's brother. Welcome to our dorm!" Alec says,
"Hey beautiful, the names Jace. I'm glad we finally have some eye candy around this school!" Jace says with a cocky attitude "of course that is apart from me, I'm already eye candy". I decide I don't like him and I'm going to stay away from him as must as possible. But that Alec guy is cute, he has a really sophisticated sense of style as well. Izzy shoots Jace a menacing glare then leads me over to the drinks "table" to help set up. "So there won't be many of us, just 15 or so, just catching up after break." Izzy says,
"Cool, I hope I'm not crashing the party" I say worried about how limited the guest list is, maybe I will stick out more than I wanted,
"No, don't be silly, we all need someone new to interrogate!" she replies with a cheeky smile, this is going to be a heck of a night.

People start to trickle in and I am introduces to everyone upon their arrival. There is a couple who are werewolves, named Jordan and Maia, a faerie named Kaelie, and a different faerie named Merloin, who has a history with Izzy. I'm also quite surprised when Magnus walks in, but I am told he always likes a good party so I shrug it off. I hope he doesn't tell my mum I'm going to parties, I might get in some trouble. The rest of the people turn up in a clump and Izzy has given up introducing me and has let me lose to mingle.

First I get a diet coke then I walk over to Alec so I can introduce myself properly. "Hey it's me again" I say casually,
"Hey, so your Izzy's roommate, tough luck there! No in just kidding she's actually a pretty good sister. Oh and I'm sorry about Jace he has no filter." says Alec,
"Yeah, is he always that cocky?" I ask,
"Pretty much" Alec replies, smirking,
I can't help but stare at his blue eyes and his dashing black hair that looks so touchable, I get snapped out of my daze by Jace saying "So how are you settling Clary my darling" I shoot him a warning look and reply "Just fine, but since when have I been your darling?,
"Since the time you walked through that door and caught my eyes with your undeniable beauty" he says pointing at their front door smiling, he has got to be joking! His cocky nature is infuriating.
"Well count me out of this conversation" Alec says before leaving to chat to someone else,
"Finally I thought he would never leave! Now we can chat in privacy." Jace remarks,
"Ah, I don't think so." I say, then confidently walk to sit on the couch next to Izzy and Alec.

Jace's POV

Clary, Clary, Clary. That girl is gorgeous. Beyond gorgeous, stunning, breathtaking, HOT! And I need he next to me.

"Finally I thought he would never leave! Now we can chat in privacy." I say as Alec leaves to talk to Izzy,
"Ah, I don't think so." Clary says, much to my dismay, then she walks of to sit with Alec and Izzy. She mustn't like me, that's the first time in a while I have been rejected, and it stings. Why is she following Izzy and Alec around like a puppy unless... No, it can't be...

Clary's POV

Alec, Izzy, Maia, Jordan and I have a good chat about starting the new school year. It turns out I'm not that far behind in knowledge, only quite far behind in training. I can see Jace staring at us chatting and laughing, but he doesn't come over and talk to us, maybe I really hurt his feelings before? Why should I care anyway he was treating me like an object. Alec explains Jace has always been like this, cocky and a player, he still get a lot of girls though. I have to admit he is pretty sweet on the eyes but he is to sassy for my liking.

We mingle and chat for a good hour and a half before someone suggests party games. Of course we can trust Jace to suggest strip truth or dare, which is a new game to me but the rules are easy and go as follows:

The bottle is spun and the person it lands on is asked truth or dare by the spinner.

Then the spinner comes up with a truth or a dare accordingly and sets the challenge.

The person has to do the challenge or forfeit a piece of clothing as an escape.

Izzy starts by spinning and it lands on Jordan, "Truth or Dare?" she says,
"Dare" he replies,
"Run next door and ask for a tube of toothpaste" Izzy challenges,
"I will be back" he grins,
Jordan spins next and he lands on Kaelie. "Truth or Dare?", "Truth", "Do you have a crush on Jace?", "Um, yes".
She spins and gets Jace, "Truth or Dare?", "Dare", "I dare you to kiss Magnus", Jace removes his shirt revealing his hard six pack abs, I can tell this act was to woo me so I just smirk and look away. He spins and of all the people in the room, it had to land on me! "Truth or Dare darling?", "Truth" I say cautiously I don't want to get tricked into kissing Jace, "Do you find Alec attractive?" I know I have to say yes, I can't lie, and taking off a piece of clothing would be impossible for me because I am wearing hardly anything, and an obvious act of avoiding the question. "Yes, yes I do" I say confidently, Jace just smirks, which I find confusing, I felt sure he would be annoyed by this. I ignore him and spin the bottle, it lands on Jace, great, "Truth or Dare", "Truth", "Why did you just smirk at me?" I ask wanting to know the truth, he says "Because you just confessed you had the hots for my gay brother", OHMYGOD! Alec is gay?! Shit this is embarrassing all of a sudden. I put on a brave face and said "You are just jealous your gay brother got more girls than you did tonight, and your sulking because I rejected you" I am so happy with that comeback. Jace looked gobsmacked, I don't think he expected me to come back from the gay comment. Then everyone just burst out laughing including Jace and I.

Izzy then thought it would be funny when she spun me to dare me to kiss Alec for 10 seconds. Okay, sure I can do this. Alec smiled at me, so I took that as a "Come on, why the heck not!". So I crawled across the circle and my lips met with Alec's and we kissed, not a polite, dare, nothing to it kiss, Alec was pashing me hard out! amongst the squeals and wolf whistles, the group counted down. 10.9.8.7.6.5.4.3.2...1 and then we broke apart. That was one of the better kisses I have had in my time and it was from a gay guy.

Jace's POV

Watching Alec and Clary go at it, really kissing each other, drove me crazy. watching their lips mold perfectly together, their heads moving back and forth with the kiss. I was jealous. jealous of my gay brother. Arrghhh how am I ever supposed to win her over? She is eternally beautiful but she thinks I am a jerk. I guess I will have to show her my tender and loving side. But first I have I find it.

The bottle is spun and it lands on me again. Maia dares me to snog Clary for 10 seconds. Yes, finally a chance to win her over, I just have to beat Alec's kiss and I might be in. Clary looks peeved to not have a say in this but what can you do. I know. I slowly start taking my shoes and socks of (That was the deal, your shoes and socks count as one piece of clothing) and I announce, "Clary doesn't seem to be feeling it so I will miss this one out for her sake". Had I just said that? Am I an idiot, I want to kiss her so badly.

No, I think I just found my tender and loving side.
