Dont mess with a short red head

Izzy's POV

Simon and Clary come out of the bathroom a couple minutes after entering looking less on edge. We have decided to watch " The Perks of Being a Wallflower", It was Alec's idea. Clary goes to sit next to Jace on the couch and leaves Simon looking a bit lost. I wave a hand at him to invite him to sit by me, on a bean bag. He does a double take, then realises my intentions and shuffles over to sit by me. He looks stiff and awkward so I jab my hand into his side and tickle him.

I really have no idea what this must have looked like to the others, I just wanted him to loosen up. He spins around to face me while yelping and I take this chance to flash a genuine smile,
"I don't bite, get comfy, we're gonna be here a while", I say,
"You may not bite, but you do tickle", he says matter of factly. Clary giggles at us and Jace starts the movie. Eventually Simon relaxes into his beanbag, this makes me feel like he is okay. I really want him to feel comfortable with us, because presumably we will be seeing a lot of each other.

At some point during the movie Clary and Jace fall asleep in each others arms, Alec follows soon after. I pick up the remote and turn the tv off and spin to face Simon. He seems to realise that everyone is asleep pretty quick and he says, "Did someone forget to tell me it was a sleepover?", With a smirk. I giggle and try to start conversation with him,
"So how old are you? I mean Clary really hasn't filled in any details about you, only that you exist as her best friend and that in fact you are not a girl",
"Ah, yes the classic, a girl must have another girl as a best friend stereotype. Yes I am of the male gender, and I am 16 and a bit, just like Clary" he replies,
"What are your hobbies? I mean what do mundanes a do in there spare time? Because I assume your not training or fighting demons like any shadow hunter would", I say looking to find out some more about him,
"I'm into video games and comics, as well as drinking good coffee and collecting cool t-shirts. Wow that sounded better in my head, wait no it always sounded bad" he said,
"That sounds really chill, I can see why Clary likes you. It really is better than bothering with girls and having to put up with there drama", I admit,
"I really miss having her around, I mean don't get me wrong I have other friends, but we were just really close and now I hardly ever see her" he says with a sad tinge in his voice,
"Don't worry we have Wednesdays off and we are free when we're not training on the weekend. I will try and remind her to keep up with you If you like" I suggest,
"Thanks, sometimes I think she is to busy with all these new things, and now a boyfriend, to remember I need her too" he confides, "Wow this makes me sound like a loser",
"Showing your emotional side doesn't make you a loser! I admire your honesty" I reply trying to make him feel less awkward,
"Well I actually better get going or otherwise my mum will wonder where I am, do you mind showing me how to get out of these dorms?" he says after a small pause,
"I will walk you to the bus stop if you want",
"Sure, thanks Izzy", he says with a timid smile.

Jace's POV

I wake up to find Simon and Izzy quietly sneaking out of the room, before closing the door, and resuming there conversation about comics, apparently Izzy suddenly cares, she never really takes an interest when Max tries to start a conversation with her about it. A blind man could see what was going on here, Simon obviously is trying to woo Izzy with his lame geeky personality, and she seems to be going along with it for now. But he doesn't know what he is getting himself into. Izzy is not like all the other girls, most men can't handle her, let alone a weird Mundie.

I pick Clary up bridal style and lay her in her bed, lightly covering her with some sheets before giving Alec a gentle shove to wake him. We can't be caught in the girls dorms at this time of night. I was careful to leave enough time after Izzy left to not catch up with her on the way to out of the dorms, but not too much time to walk into her as she makes her way back, I don't want to talk to her right now, I just need to get some sleep.
