Love in the Movers

Off Too a New Life!

                                                                                                                                             Backstory    
You grew up on Kioshi Island as a non-bender, and were raised by your grandmother Ty Lee. Growing up she told you stories about her teenage years chasing the avatar with her best friend Mai and princess Azula, and how she eventually betrayed Azula to help Mai. How she had bonded with the Kioshi warriors while in prison and had chosen to join them and live on Kioshi. Your parents passed away when you where little, they had gotten caught in a storm while on vacation and had drowned at sea. While you do miss them, you loved your life on Kioshi. Your grandma had been training you as a Kioshi warrior since you where five, she also tought you chi bloking. She wanted to make sure you could handle anything the world could throw at you. You had been quite good at all the fighting styles picking them up rather quickly and advancing faster than most.

     Every year, you and your grandma would go to visit her old friends around the world, starting with Mai and Zuko, then moving South to see Katara and Sokka, and always ending in Republic city to see Tenzin. After Aang had died Katara moved back to the South, but grandma always loved to see Republic city and she would use Tenzin as an excuse, you had met Toph a few times but she wasn't a regular occurrence on your visits. You always looked forward to your yearly trips and had even gotten to meet and befriend the new Avatar! Korra was awesome and you two were pen pals the whole time growing up, but after the red lotus incident she seemed to disappear and you hadn't heard from her for years.

     After harmonic convergence you discovered you were now an air bender! While that was super cool you decided not to join the air nomads right away, their lifestyle didn't really call to you. You decided to train on your own at home feeling that this is were you need to be.

     Right now you were in the training building working on your forms.

" Hey Y/N!" Your best friend Alana called to you from enternce. You quickly shifted your stance to face her, still in training mode.

" Yes," you curtly replied pulling out one of your fans and continued your training.

" Your granny has been looking for you nuts-o,"  She stepped into the building looking at you in fake annoyance. " Something about you going on some trip thingy next week." At this you stopped and faced her fully, a smile forming on your face.

" Thanks!" you shouted to her as you darted out the door towards your home. You dashed down the familar roads towards the home you lived in with your grandma. You burst throught the door to find her in the living room sitting on the floor infront of the table. She looked up as you came in.

" Hello Sugar cube! I was waiting for you." She smiled warmly up at you as you sat down across from her on the floor.

" Hi granny. Alana said you wanted to talk about our trip this year?" You said barely able to contain your giddiness.

" Yes Y/N, I was thinking that now that you are turning nineteen this year that maybe you should go and find your own life." She looked at you with her warm chocolate eyes and her cheery grandma smile. " I talked with Tenzin and he said he would be overjoyed to have you go live with him in Republic City! and then you could train as a real air bender!" Her news shoked you, move away? For how long? This was your life, and you couldn't leave her here, on her own! Apparently you had been quiet for too long because she spoke to interrupt your thoughts. " Now, It's all been arranged, you are to set out a week after your birthday." You moved to argue but she stopped you. " Don't worry about me, the village will take good care of me I promise, and I'll be keeping in touch all the time! I will want to hear about your exciting time in the City! Now lets go start packing!" She sprung up from the floor and began to walk back towards your room, signaling for you to follow.

     After getting over the initial shock you sprung up following her, as a new excitment began to bubble through you!

     Your birthday had come and gone and a week later you where all packed up and waiting for Tenzin and his flying bison to come and take you away to your new life! You were standing on the edge of the town with your grandma looking to the skies for any sign of him. Suddenly you caught sight of the big furry bison coming closer and closer. Once he landed Tenzin dismounted and went to greet you.

" Hello Y/N, Look how you have grown. Are you ready to start your training  in Repubilc city?" He smiled. You looked to your grandmother for reassurance, and she simply patted your arm and gave you a little nod. You turned back to Tenzin.

"Yes." And with that you were off to go start a new life.
