We went back to sit on the huge stones near the pond while I smiled ear to ear.

Truth be told, I've never experienced anything like this even when I was still alive in the human world. This moment will surely be engraved in my memory.

I was prancing giddily behind Gyth when I suddenly tripped onto a small rock. I saw my vision flipping around and not long till I was drenched by the water.

"Chevel!" Gyth yelled running towards my drenched figure in the pond.

My gaze whipped towards my new shoes and then to my clothes. They're all soaked.

Tears started brimming in my eyes as Gyth approached me.

"Gyth.." I muttered, looking at him warily.

"Your coat.. The clothes and shoes you've bought me.." I said as my voice cracked.

"Chevel. That's not what's important right now. Come on, stand up or you'll get sick." Gyth said as he held my arms and stood me up to my feet.

We slowly walked towards the stone seats while water was dripping from my clothes.

Gyth settled me on the stone seat and took off his coat from my back, hanging it up the tree beside us.

I felt dejected. I don't know what to say to Gyth. I can't even look at him. I just messed up the clothes he just bought me.

"Chevel.." Gyth muttered, settling beside me. I bit my lower lip unable to look at him in the eyes.

"You should take off your shoes first." He said and I nodded. I took them off and he proceeded to hang them also on the tree.

I finally met eyes with Gyth as he turned to settle back on the seat next to me.

He observed me for a minute before he began to take off his shirt. My eyes widened and soon enough, flushes filled my cheeks.

"W-what are you doing?" I asked, almost stuttering every word as I glued my eyes to the ground. He then stood up and handed the shirt to me.

"Chevel you need to change your clothes." He said. I can feel his eyes  looking at my drenched state.

I slowly lifted my head, my eyes meeting his apollo's belt.

A soft squeal escaped my throat as I turned away as soon as I could.

"Chevel, here. Get changed." Gyth said, handing over his shirt to my clasped hands resting on my lap.

"Thank you.." I muttered shyly.

I walked behind the tree where his coat and my shoes are hanging and changed into Gyth's shirt.

His scent almost instantly filled my nose as soon as I wore it over my head.

The sleeves rested just above my elbows and the shirt flowed just below my thigh. The holes on the back showed my shoulder blades down to my waist.

I hanged the dress next to the coat and I went back sitting beside Gyth. I glanced over his pale bare skin and I can't help thinking how cold he must be feeling.

"Chevel.." He muttered, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Yes?" I asked, wringing the excess water from my hair.

I turned towards him when he suddenly fell silent. His eyes were staring through the dark with the same deadpan expression he always has.

The thing in my chest started thumping nervously with each second passing by as the silence continued to echo through my ears.

Gyth let out a long sigh and my breath hitched all of a sudden in distress. He drifted his gaze towards mine, locking our eyes together.

"Remember this, Chevel." He began, his voice piercing through the silence. I clasped my hands together bracing myself.

"I won't get mad at you for minor things. You should know that by now." He said and my heart sunk as I remembered all those times he had been reassuring me that he wasn't mad.

He must've been having a stressful time making me understand.

I nodded as I stared at him, unable to utter any word. His unpredictable kindness never failed to melt my heart.

"There's just one thing that I want to ask of you." Gyth said as I swallowed the lump in my throat nervously waiting for his words.

"Stay away from underworld beings with crimson badges." Gyth continued and I felt my heart suddenly pounding anxiously.

The badge on Dicarius' chest flashed back to my mind but I remembered it was covered in silver.

Then it finally sinks in.

The ones with crimson badges might be dangerous ones. My hands began to tremble. I can't possibly overpower any underworld being.

"What if I'm overpowered?" I asked gripping my hands together to stop the trembling. I felt unsure because the last time it happened, I couldn't even do anything.

Gyth smiled all of a sudden, getting something out of the pocket of his trousers.

He then lifted a small box in front of me while I raised my brow in curiosity.

He knelt in front of me and opened the small box, revealing a silver ring.

My mouth dropped open at the sight of the gleaming ring. I squinted my eyes, focusing on the middle of the ring and noticed something similar.

My eyes widened upon seeing the black scythe symbol.

"Gyth.." I muttered with a smile on my face as he wore the ring on my finger.

He's been nonstop giving me presents throughout the day and I can't think of one that could even make up for everything he did and gave for me.

"That makes you officially one of us." Gyth said as tears began to fall down my cheeks. I was just too happy hearing him say those words.

"With that, it will be easier for me to detect and locate you if you'll ever be in danger. So wear it always." Gyth said, wiping away the tears from my eyes.

"Why a ring?" I asked, knowing fully well that it's supposed to be a badge.

I have seen creatures wear the badge but never a ring.

"I just thought that it would look better on you." He said, his emerald eyes locked on mine.

I lowered my head, hiding the visible tint on my cheeks.

"Thank you.." I muttered under my breath.
