A/N: Helloooooo ❤️ So this other day I happened to search my story title on Google for the reason of curiosity and found these sites called novelhd and idelibro uploading my story without my consent :/ Alarming to learn about this 😭 Just letting everyone know this is the only platform I upload this story. Thank you all 💕

The next day came and as I glanced around, I saw quite a number of empty beds and it reminded me of the terrible events that unfolded yesterday.

The room was silent of rushing sounds and stomping of feet, of murmurs and gossips, of crying and laughing. It felt empty.

Only a few are getting ready and most are still in their bed. I fought the urge to take another minute of sleep and stood up to wake Vernon and Emily.

We rushed out into the main hall as I successfully drag the both of them off their beds.

“I didn’t got to dry my hair.” Emily sighed.

“That’s not what’s important right now!” Vernon said upon chasing his breath.

I took quick breaths as we reached the main hall and to my surprise, the once crowded hall felt even bigger with the small numbers of humans left.

It was like we were cut in half.

“This is quite a sight to see.” Lilith said upon ascending the platform.

“It may be sorrowful to continue this way but still we must move on.” She said in contrast to her smirk.

“You must have a certain knowledge of lost souls by now.” She said and just the mention of it sent alarming panic across the crowd.

“Show them outside.” Lilith ordered and her henchmen obliged immediately as they ushered us outside.

We all stuck in groups as we marched in front of the enormous fire-breathing dogs by the tall-steeled gates of the castle.

Staring at such enormous creatures was like looking up a tall tower. They were as tall and huge as the steeled gates. I could be crushed by their foot alone.

“Open the gates.” Lilith ordered and we watched cautiously in anticipation of what horrendous event will take place this time.

Our eyes instantly darted towards her henchmen leading a number of humans behind them who are all covered in bruises and cuts. My breath got caught in my throat as soon as I laid my eyes on them and knew there wouldn’t be anything good if they’re involved.

“These humans have defied the king.” She sternly said as she stood before the humans whose heads are hanging low. They appear to have lost all spirit.

“Now, I’ll manifest to you the consequences.” Lilith said and the henchmen pushed the humans outside the gates.

They landed on their knees without a single expression on their faces. We were all confused and bothered for a moment as we observed them and a few murmurs of speculations started here and there.

What mostly bothered me is the fact that there aren’t any restraints. The humans stayed on their knees without a single objection and the thought of the horror they must have undergone to lost all spirit brought fear to my nerves.

The next minute, a strong gust of wind suddenly began blowing furiously almost making us lose our footing.

Comes with it are thick dark mists that made it very difficult to breathe.

A woman beside me suddenly uttered a scream as she pointed towards the mist and my eyes dilated as I followed it and came to see vague figures.

“No!” I cried out and soon enough, the vague figures began approaching the humans outside the gates violently and in a matter of seconds, they were all gone.
