Chevel’s POV
As soon as Gyth left, Dicarius and Seb came to keep me company. But they came mostly because they wanted to play with Kuppuru. Not that I could complain.
I watched them as they giddily played with my cat while he mostly run away the whole time.
I then isolated myself on the couch and continued reading the book I still haven’t finished. Just having them here makes me feel at ease.
Lunch came and I insisted that we eat together. They gladly agreed and I also took my cat with us to the dining hall.
“Chevel, we have work to do. Are you going to be okay?” Seb asked.
I pressed my lips and nodded. Gyth will be back before dusk anyway. It’s only a few hours by then. I also shouldn’t be a nuisance to their work.
“I’ll be okay.” I reassured them, planting a smile on my face.
They patted Kuppuru on the head and went their ways. I slowly walked towards Gyth’s room, wasting away the time.
I slouched myself on the couch as soon as I arrived, gluing my eyes on the ceiling.
“I just wish time will go by fast today.” I mumbled to myself.
“Why?” Someone asked, and suddenly a face came blocking the view of the ceiling.
I instantly jumped away, a squeal escaping my throat.
I winced as I felt the pain on my back from the fall I took.
I opened my eyes slowly and I found myself on the floor. The adrenaline rush suddenly filled my veins as I scanned the room immediately looking for signs of the man.
I found my breathing getting heavier each second. My breath hitched as I glanced towards the window seat and there I found him.
Blue eyes and blonde hair that’s almost covering his eyes
He’s wearing a black cape just like Gyth.
Who is he?
What does he want?
How did he even get in here?
Various questions kept on popping into my mind. But mostly, fear of what business he has of going into Gyth's room.
I just sat there on the cold floor as I stared silently towards him, fear crippling out from my body.
“Are you just going to sit there?” He asked and I flinched upon hearing his voice. It’s deep and slightly hoarse.
He then stood up, slowly pacing towards me. I pushed my body backwards in hope that I could get out of this situation.
I gasped as I felt the cold wall against my back. I lifted my head, and there he is towering in front of me.
I'm trapped.
He then slowly bent down, my eyes following his movement until he reached my eye level.
I struggled to swallow the lump in my throat as he stared right through me with judging eyes.
I gasped closing my eyes as I saw his hands approach my face.
My body trembled furiously as I slowly opened my eyes when nothing happened, only to find his hand extended to my face.
I shifted my eyes towards his and a smile is painted on his face.
I doubted for a second before I took his hand and he lifted me up to my feet.
“W-who are you?” I asked, taking a step back from his intimidating figure.
I didn’t noticed how tall he was until I’m standing right next to him. He’s definitely taller than Gyth.
“Call me Dante.” He said. He extended his hand once again as he smiled towards me.
His smile faded when I ignored his hand. He doesn’t look dangerous but he’s someone who trespassed a room without anyone noticing.
“I see why Lilith didn’t like you.” He said and I flinched upon hearing Lilith’s name.
He knows her?
I immediately darted my eyes to his blue ones as he once again smiled towards me.
“You definitely look beautiful than any succubus I’ve seen.” He said and his smile turned into a smirk.
He slowly paced towards me and I felt my chest tightened. I raised my hands against my chest in hopes that it would defend me.
I was trapped on the wall.
I stood there, unable to move away. I froze in my place. Fear getting the best of me.
I let out a scream as he grabbed my hands and pinned them above my head. I looked at him with extreme fear in my eyes.
The smile on his face turned into a devilish smirk. As if he’s a totally different person.
“P-please..” I begged as tears began brimming in my eyes.
I prayed that somehow, Gyth would just arrive early and get me out of this situation or just anyone in this castle.
I stared at his blue eyes that looked like the ocean. They were dark, full of lust.
His body is dangerously resting against mine. My breathing got heavier when I felt his chest contracting and expanding with mine.
His gaze suddenly darted towards my hands enclasped in his. I followed his gaze and my eyes widened as I saw him squinting at the ring Gyth gave me.
A glimmer of hope appeared before my eyes. I just have to wait a little bit more and Gyth will be here soon.
All of a sudden, he untightened his grip on my hands and slowly placed his hands on my arms.
I simply can’t understand what kind of a person he is. He’s like two different souls in one body. He could be smiling innocently at the moment and then devilishly grinning the minute later.
His hand caressed my arm upward, leaving a tingling feeling throughout my body.
Soon enough, his hand found my cheek. I stared at him wide eyed, as my body trembled in fear.
He cupped my cheek and slowly neared his face to mine.
His lips are just an inch away from my lips and I could feel his breathing matching with mine.
I pressed my lips together and a smirk formed on his.
“You’ll be mine someday.” He muttered.
I felt his lips brushed mine when he muttered, making heat rise up my cheeks.
And with that, he slid his hands off and slowly walked towards the window seat.
He opened the glass window and stood on top of the windowsill.
My mouth dropped open as he spread his wings, the same ones like Gyth’s and flew away to the sky.
Is he also a grim reaper?
I snapped out of my frozen state and took long strides towards the window.
I squinted my eyes to look for him in the distance but he was already gone.
