the next day
Dear diary,
Yesterday was pretty interesting, I got into a fight with Tanya then got called into the Principls office. I got suspened for 3 days and then when I come back me and tanya gotta go to therapy.Then I saw Brian when I went jogging, still the same old flirty jerk. So life is'nt looking good right about now. today I have to search for a daycare for April and take care of my little sister since my mother is starting her first day back at her job today.
April started crying so I put my diary away and walked over to her crib. It's crazy how I'm only 16 soon to be 17 and has to take care of a baby plus my little sister.
"Hey April what's wrong, huh You hungry? Huh?" I asked in the baby voice. Then I picked her up and fed her. After I was done I lifted her up and played with her for alittle bit. It was fun until she threw up right in my face.... I put her down immediantly and washed my face and my hair then went back to the room. Then I picked her back up even though I was mad and took her downstairs. Suddenly I saw Brian sitting on my couch.
"Brian how did you get in? What are you doing here?" i asked
"I wanted to see you and I got to see the baby to so this must be my lucky day" He says.
"Oh ok.......Wanna hold her?" I asked
"Yea." He says then I hand him the baby.
"Her name is April. " I tell him.
"Oh, That's a beautiful name and her birthday is in April too. Cute. Hey why is your hair all wet?" He asked.
"Oh, well it's wet because I had to wash it out because my baby threw up all over it." I told him. Then he put the baby down in the crib.
"Sorry about me leaving you all alone with the babies. Where's our son?" He asked.
"He died at birth." I told him. Then there was a long silence. Then he hugged me. This was the first time in a long time I've seen him actually care about me.
"Thanks I needed that." I said.
"Listen can I ask you a Question?" He said
"Well you just did so I guess you could ask me another one." I said
"Do you think that your brother is happy with my cousin?" He asked.
"Well they're meant to be so yea. Why do you asked?" I said.
"I really think that we could've had a great relationship if they were'nt meant to be." He says
"No we would'nt have I would've still ended up with Luis and you would probably end up with that girl I saw you with at your house. It just wouldn't have worked." I told him
" Yea, I guess so but it would've been nice to have a great relationship together" He told me.
"We do have a great relaionship, a friendship and I know that sounded l sound like a cliche bbut i really think we can stay great friends" I said
"I do too but it would be nice to have a more intiment relationship." He says.
"I guess but I'm with Luis and you should head out i have a ton of stuff to do today." I tell him. Then he hugs me and leaves. Then I picked April up and went back upstairs. I got the baby tube and filled it up with water and soap suds. Then I put her in the tube and started washing her up.
"Today is gonna be a big day! You're gonna see the world outside with trees and cars and houses. First we're gonna take a long walk since mommy doesn't have a car yet, then we're gonna go into this place called a day care, where other babies are and enroll you in a daycare until I get a job that pay well enough for me to get a babysitter. After I enroll you in, we're gonna get on a train and travel to places! Oh and Auntie Anna is coming with us." I said in my mommy voice
