A week after the battle

I wake up to my mother's voice.

"Amy, Michael! I know its the weekend but yall can't keep sleeping in. I let yall miss a whole week of school and yall got to sleep now its time for the schedules again! Get up!" She shouts from the bottom of the steps.

Me and Michael walk down the steps with our backs slouched down.

"But mom I'm so tired."

"And I'm pregnant without a man. But I'm alright now yall get yall assess up and eat some breakfast even though I throw up ten times trying to cook the eggs and the meat I still am making sure yall eat."

"What changed? Why are we not being treated as royalty why am I not being treated as royalty?" I asked

"Because you're not royalty. Go to your man if you wanna be treated like royalty."

"No because he will just tell me the same thing. And I think that you need to get yourself back out there mom your little boyfriend seemed to like you a lot."

"He was just a phase and your father is all I need."

"News flash my father is dead."

"Amy!" Michael says.

"What we went through this before, my mourning for dad is over. I've excepted life the way it is and I'm ok with it."

"That's great Amy, but just because you're ok with this doesn't mean we're ok with it." Mom says. I began to feel unwanted.

"Can I go back to sleep?" I asked trying to get away.

"Amy! No."

"Why not. You didn't even try to defeat the witch at least Michael did!" I shouted accidentally.

"Because this is my house! What the hell has gotten into you? You think because you defeated the witch and saved your kids from having to live your life that you can be a princess and we're your maids!? Let me answer that for you. No! You still have work to do sister. Even princesses have work to do. You will not have it easy! Do I make myself clear?!" She yelled.

"Yes."

"Good now I don't wanna see your face right now so be gone!"

"I don't wanna see your face either." I said to myself as I walked out the door. My mother has never yelled at me like that before. She scared me. I didn't know where I was going. Then it came to me. I'll just walk to Zoey house.

At Zoey's house.

"Amy! Hi guess what?!" Zoey says excitedly.

"What?!"

"There is this party at this boy named Jake house tonight! Are you coming?"

"Well my mother did say she didn't wanna see my face so yea. Michael's there anyway. So yea. Is Tanya here?"

"You know she is here. It used to be your house that we all go to but now it's my house."

"True. I really missed you guys. I shouldn't have shut yall out like i did."

"We missed you too. Come in why are you just standing out there." Zoey says

"Oh." I said and I laughed as I entered.

"Amy!" Tanya said as she threw her arms at me.

"Oh, hi!" I said.

"How are you?!. You are the most powerful creature I've ever seen." Tanya says.

"Well I used to be. Now I just Amy. The girl with the bad ass boyfriend again. My mom and Michael are probably gonna try to separate me and Luis now." I said with a laugh.
