I might be a famous actress with a hit television show but life hasn't always been easy for me. I come from a family of perfectionist. My father has been the voice and go-to-guy for the Dallas Cowboys for over 30 years. My mother was a former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader and my sister, well, let's just say she took after my mother. She's currently a cheerleader for the Cowboys.

And me, well, I'm the outcast - the one that couldn't make it as a cheerleader if she tried. The one who my mother couldn't put in beauty pageants because I was too "chubby" or not "pretty enough." I was the one that couldn't follow in my mother's footsteps so I thought I would follow in my father's footsteps in public relations in the sports industry until I was stopped on the street in Dallas and asked if I had ever thought about modeling.

And I laughed in the lady's face, but she was serious.

I ended up being cast in a make-up commercial and I decided to move to Los Angeles, dropping out of college despite my parents hating the idea. I ended up getting small appearances on various television shows before finding out that Warner Brothers was producing a new show about sisters who wanted to model - one being thin and the other being on the bigger side. It was like my life story, so I auditioned and was offered the role on the spot.

Since then, my life has been what my mother thought it could never be - I was famous for being 'a little bigger,' being offered modeling jobs, modeling in magazines and even being offered a high-profile Super Bowl commercial for Lane Bryant that ended up being banned during the first season of "Cover Girls." Because of that commotion, it garnered the show more publicity and it became a hit.

And my love life hit rock bottom.

I've dated guys and had one relationship that even lasted a year once, but it's never been anything serious. There's a part of me that wishes I could have that serious relationship that I see all of my friends are in. But I don't really tell anybody that. I just, I need to be more aggressive when it comes to guys. That's what Georgia tells me.

Maybe I should take her advice.

Macie Blanton walked into catering that next Tuesday, hugging her purse tightly on her shoulder and sighed, seeing that the place was packed. She wasn't sure why she decided to grab something to eat at the studio, but she was too lazy to cook something at home and she was trying to best to stay away from fast food.

She walked up the bar, grabbing a plate and sighed, walking past all the food that they had spread out. She grabbed a few strawberries and put them on her plate along with a small packet of yogurt and sighed. She just wasn't in the mood for food. She grabbed a bottle of water and turned around, looking to see where an open seat was when she saw Nick sitting in the back by himself.

"What the hell," she whispered to herself as she started maneuvering herself through the tables until she made her way to him and saw Nick look up at her. "Mind if I sit here?" she asked as he smiled and nodded.

"Strawberries and yogurt?" Nick asked as she shrugged.

"They didn't really have anything I wanted today so I might order something later and have it delivered," she said, taking a sip of her water. "So, get everything all moved in? Georgia said you were still sorting everything out."

"Yep, it's pretty much all done," he said, leaning back in his chair. "So, you know Georgia and DJ pretty well?"

"I've known Georgia since my first year of college and she moved out here about two years after I did," she said, taking a bite of a strawberry. "She and DJ have been together for a few years. He's a strange little guy, but he's pretty cool. He'll do anything for anybody so you're in good hands with them as your neighbor."
